I know, what more really needs to be said about something so beautiful? My sweetheart actually bought tulip bulbs this fall and while I was gone for the day, planted them in my garden for a surprise. He was with me when I spied some bulbs on sale later and wanted to buy some so he confessed his sweet little secret because he was afraid I would dig up the ones he planted while trying to plant my own:>) I can’t wait for spring!

I noticed the grocery store was selling tulips last time I was there – I’m hoping I can get some on sale cause I’m ready for spring. Tulips and daffodils always say spring to me. Love the tulip pillow – beautiful & cozy corner!

Oh Melissa! I can just feel myself sinking into that lovely chair and letting out a little sigh. A little overcast outside casting shadows inside and a little fire in the grate. And then I look over at those beautiful tulips and smile. Lovely shot!

I am with Manuela all the way. Tulips and daffodils are my favorite flowers; I’ rather have them than roses any day.

Just the escape I needed this morning! I left my house at 5:30 a.m. to go get my swimming workout in, only to have to turn about due to a log truck spilling its load. No workout makes for a grumpy Esther. The snow and slop and really a drag right now! So nice to see those tulips! Have a great weekend, my friend. Love, Esther

    Hi Melissa,
two of my favorite things back to back! Valentines Day AND Spring. Simply crazy about spring flowers and when it arrives our farmers market makes me go crazy, tulips, tuberose, peonies, hydrangeas, the list goes on. So uplifting to see glimpses of spring, thank you again!

That picture brings back fond memories of a sweet little tea house I used to visit a few years ago. It was my ‘Wednesday’ ritual to stop there before heading off to school. Man do I miss that place.
Thanks for the little reminder. Happy weekend to you!

By the way, I really like the quote you have at top of your blog.

You already have tulips? Good grief, I am still finding pine needles and putting away those last little reminders of Christmas.

Tulips rock. All year round. I am hoping ashley has some white or ivory tulips in her wedding bouquet. I love the way they drape.

Awesome post. No, I mean, AWESOME post.

Melissa, I love this post and this ritual–aren’t fresh flowers the best? Every summer, when the local market opens, I buy a fresh bouquet (sometimes two!) once a week and love how it just brightens everything, including my day. Happy weekend to you!
