Sweet Escape: Mini-Vacation

If you shut your eyes for just a minute, you can almost smell the fresh sea air and feel the warm sunshine on your face.

You can almost taste the tropical drink, mmm, yummy!

Take a deep breath, lay your head back, close your eyes and try it!

I am so ready for a tropical escape…after this winter, which hasn’t been bad so far, but still cold and not fun in general…I would love an island get away.

Oh Melissa, I don’t know if that is torture or sweet escape. It has been in the 30’s/40’s here. I feel like my head is so frozen that my brain won’t be able to visualize properly! Beam me up Scotty!

    Oh Melissa,

Being only 2 hours away from the border can make this tempting scene an all too tempting reality if I get in the car now! Darn reality! My girls are going to be home from school, soon, and I would never make it home in time…Sigh…

Yep, I’d like to be there!!! ;)

The cool thing is that living in Ft. Lauderdale makes this a daily reality (not counting the kids, the school, being wife and mom, the new travel business, and oh, of course running the house).

I am not new to reading but new at commenting…I so love your blog. And today I really need to dream about warm breezes and sunny skies. Okay, so our skies were sunny today but it was 0 last night! Brrr….I just wrote a post about dreaming of Paris in Spring…that helped warm me a bit but your dream really helped! Ahhh….oh where oh where is that cabana attendant?

    Hugs,

    I know I’m a bit of a *nut case* but…. That doesn’t tempt me.

-a pause- While anyone reading this, lets out a long gasp. ,-)

If it were a Caribbean beach, maybe… But pools don’t do it for me. And it’s not quite that time of year as yet, when I really get t-i-r-e-d of Winter and start hearing the trade winds blowing by my ear. It will come. It will come. But so far ~ Not yet.

I used to visit the Oceanspray site just to hear the sound
of the waves (they’ve updated so no more surf).

Thank you, Melissa, for the nice comment at my blog and
for encouraging me to comment even if there’s nothing
    new to say. LOL!

Hope that you are enjoying a wonderful weekend with
    your family.
