Fall nesting is seriously underway at my house. I didn’t think I was necessarily in the “nesting mood” quite yet, but things were getting a little out of hand around my house after the wedding and busy summer. Once I got myself going, I really felt inspired to settle back into my fall routine.
Sometime Tuesday we will kick off the Fall Nesting Week festivities, but I wanted to get our favorite Mr. Linky up and ready for those of you who are ready to go! You can link up any post from your blog this week to show us how you are getting ready for fall, nesting, or general cleaning & organizing for the upcoming season. And you Aussies can play along too, nesting is not limited to Fall! Or, show us last Fall’s activities if you’d like!

Hi Thanks so much for doing this. I absolutely love fall, and feathering my nest, since the fall means more little birdies will be by to eat (Thanksgiving)! God put something within us to want to decorate our homes and make them warm, inviting and comforting to others. It is wonderful! Blessings,
Debbie

Mrs. Bs last blog post..Fall Nesting Week
I am looking foward to fall nesting, but living in the high desert of California where today it was 99 degrees it is kind of hard to think about fall. I am though working on some ideas for some fabulous fall conatiner gardening. While on a visit to NYC in June I saw some amazing designs using monacramatic colors in front of many shops and apartment buildings.
In! Though I “cheated” a bit, since I am nowhere *near* ready for this fall business!
And now I have the added pressure of following Martha Stewart? How did I draw the short straw, lol?!
Thanks for letting me play along.

well… it is spring here so my home is prepaing for homegrown posies of bright daisies, fressias and jonquils but i’m filled with memories of last autumn. Bowls of red apples and pears dress my table. Collected leaves of different shapes and colours are scattered amongst the fruit. I light candles in bundles and continue with the autumn leaves.
I visit the market at place the collection of pumpkins beside my dresser.
I love Autumn! Wish I’d have taken photos!
Hey, how can we compete with Martha Stewart? Who let her on here? -Julia
Hooked on Housess last blog post..Come on In! I’ve Been Decorating for Fall
My husband and I have been preparing for fall the last two weekends with reorganizing and cleaning out. My oldest daughter and I just put up the decorations yesterday. Later this month we’ll go apple picking so the house will smell delicious! A family tradition for October is taking the kids to a nearby farm to pick out pumpkins, a hay ride and making Pumpkin soup (served and cooked in the pumpkin).

I have been thinking on these things myself as we head into Spring down under… and reflecting on the simple things, making a house a home and looking after myself after a run of not being well. Sitting in the gorgeous sunshine, creating little spaces in my home for comfort and refreshment. Nesting and reflecting… and it’s such a nice thing to do
