Sweet Escape: Absolutely Beautiful Denial

S hhhh….don’t tell me the weekend is over. I’m in denial (actually, it looks like I am in the tub!). Sometimes, you just aren’t ready to face a Monday! My 8 year old son was sick all weekend and I have a busy week ahead — I am feeling completely unprepared for a Monday. I’d love to sink down into a beautiful tub like that and pretend it is Friday night! Calgon take me away!

I saw another lovely place to escape to over at the blog of blogging friend Anna of Absolutely Beautiful Things. It happens to be a home she owns and rents out in Australia. It looks like such a beautiful, peaceful and happy place to spend some time. She has such a great knack for creating beauty. If only I was headed to Anna’s lovely place…then a Monday wouldn’t seem so bad at all.

{sigh}
Happy day to you all!
Meanwhile, I am looking like a prune so I need to get out of that tub and face the week.

    Perhaps if we go back to sleep and dream really really hard, we can sleep Monday away? Okay, just a thought.

  2. Beautiful way to start the day on a Monday morning. I love the bedroom with the statement lamps – it is so unusual to see lamps that are higher and more dramatic than the headboard, and I love it.

    Hope you have a lovely week!

    I definitely understand not wanting to face Monday! I snuggled low under our big down comforter while Hubby got ready for work this morning, not wanting to get out and face the cold. Alas, I had to get up. At least once Monday is done there isn’t another one for six days. Love the beautiful pictures…as usual!

    The picture with the chair and armoire speaks to me. Now I have to figure out exactly why so I can bring that corner to my house :-) Rosie

    I didn’t feel like facing today either, but I am up and running now. It is very cold here, just want a sunny holiday now!!

    Love the post…the bed looks very inviting :-)

  8. May you tap into that source of energy and inspiration. Of course you will; you already have. Hope that your little guy is back on his feet and feeling a whole lot better.

    Hi Melissa I know what you mean about Mondays!!!! My Mondays are power/clean house days. I clean house and work on the house as FAST as possible so the rest of the week after work I can home home and sew, decorate or work on something fun! I put fast music on and literally do as much, as fast as I can. My goal is to get to things I want to do. So house here I come!!!!
    Blessings,
    Debbie

    Absolutely love the pictures- I’m so into “white” rooms right now- and love the stack of hats on the dresser- kind of calls to me :}
    I would love to have stayed in bed today- I was up and on the road at 4am- yikes-

  13. Maven says:

    Oh how I would love to be in that tub too :-) I’m currently trying to talk myself into going for a swim before work. Gack. I need the exercise, but sitting in my robe an hour longer amongst all this fall decor seems so much better. I blame you *wink*

    Have a great day!

    I had a completely relaxing weekend. I was wicked sick, so I made that my excuse to relax. I went to the apple cider mill with my friends, went shopping for myself (again) with mC, and spent the entire day Sunday sitting at my computer playing a game. It felt good.

    Ready to face the Monday or not, here it is. I’m currently at work, wondering why the day is going by so slowly when all I want to do is go home and read my book. :P
