I love looking at doors. They can be so pretty and have such an impact on the overall appeal of a house. Can’t wait to see the porch parade!

I think a welcoming door sets the mood for the whole house- a little peek of whats to come. Great pictures-
    Have a great weekend.

I love older doors! Our front door is pathetic (broken jamb from the windstorm) and ugly (our house was built 1974, need I say more?)…we can’t wait to fix it up! Our next door neighbors repainted their entire house and then painted their door red. That’s what we wanted to do. :( So we won’t be copycats, we’re thinking a deep plum for our front door…

Not only are these doors beautiful, but they are on houses that have beautiful stone or brick work. It’s unfortunate that most of American homes are from cookie cutters in suburban subdivisions. That being said, I’m thankful we have homes!

I think front doors and the exterior entrance to a home is sooo important. These are absolutely lovely. Currently mine is disgraceful, but I have big plans for it. Now, if only I had a money tree. LOL.
Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos.

Such lovely front doors. Sometimes I think that I should “dress” up my side door more, since that seems to be where most people who visit me come in. Come to think of it, why not?!?!? I am going to find a wreath-hanger for my side door this week! That will make coming home a little bit happier.

See why I need you to inspire me, dear BFF!

    Love,
    Debbie

I just found your blog, sweet little chick, and can’t believe I’ve never been here before! Quite lovely. I adore doors also and repurposing old things with a bit of frou-frou. YessssssssSSS, I’m a girly girl and love PINK in all its subtle and vivid hues. Just PINK makes me happy. I have a PINK office and just am redoing a vintage desk. Drop by and take a peek if you have a few minutes. I can always give you a giggle, sweeptea!! Hah…….
    Smooches,

    Oh, these are SO beautiful!

One of the things I am looking for as I do my “drive-bys” is a good front door as a base. Then, it is more “accessorizing” than “decorating”!

Your blog has also made me more conscious of my own front door & the impression it makes on people.

Hum. I guess I am the dissenting voice. In my opinion, the first door would better fit a chapel than a home and the last one is a jumble of materials, curves, angles and colors which fight with each other. The middle two are OK though a little too studiously different for my taste. But then Melissa, who has seen my front door , will tell you that I have nothing to shout about either ;-)
