When I was little, I used to like to sit in that area because you could look into the kitchen. I would pull out and sit on our big silver flour can that was in this area. I made it my seat and could see into the kitchen. And I would sit there and watch my mom cook and bake. It was always really warm and cozy. I used to love watching her make pies and I would read to her while she baked. My job was always to measure out the flour.
