Hate me, but my procrastinator project is done.
It has been done for a few days. And I promise I did not start mine early.
How about yours? It is not too late. You still have almost a whole week to finish! I’ll show off my before, during and after next Tuesday, and I hope you will too!
PS. Do you like my Overflowing Blessings tassel? Of course you do. Go get one of your own at incourage.me!

It’s heavenly. What color? What paint company?
BTW – what company do you love to use? Dunn Edwards, Benjamin Moore, HD, or what? Love your expertise.
Blessings…Lylah

Hi Lylah! Next week I’ll share all the details on the process and paint I used. I’m not sure that my photo really shows off the true color but I’ll get more photos in the daylight for next week.
For walls and cabinets I normally use Benjamin Moore!
No way Melissa!!! Is this sneak snapshot THE piece? I WANT TO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!! Love love love the tassel, but I want to hear about your project

Can’t wait to see the finished project-how fun! I’m still procrastinating on mine-but I think tomorrow might be the day to tackle it.

I’m at the halfway point with mine. I should be done Saturday {maybe Sunday depending on how quick the paint dries}, but I will definitely be ready for Tuesday. Looking forward to it!
What a tease! I’m looking forward to seeing what the entire piece looks like and how you did it. I think you and I are in the same area of the country — it’s supposed to rain from now until Saturday. I’m waiting for the sun so I can show off my newly painted dining area.

I had to dive into mine right away since I had to paint outside! It was a sunny week and I knew this week would be rainy!!

I am also about half way finished! I am waiting on the UPS man to bring me my baskets!!! I found a great deal online and I can’t wait to see how they look. I still need to run out and get chalkboard paint. It will all come together this weekend!

I’m working like crazy trying to get the window trim finished- I’ve been priming, sanding and painting all weekend and week. I’m thinking I won’t get the doors done…but at least we’ll complete the four other windows in the living room. Whew. That’s better than nothing! Sadly, putting up trim isn’t as exciting as painting a lovely piece of furniture or redecorating a room but I’m just so happy to see that we’re working on it.
I don’t know what everyone thinks about mixing painted trim with stained wood….Maybe my poor house will be the laughing stock of all the houses. I like it though!
I can’t wait to see your full reveal Melissa! I’ve been wanting to paint one or two pieces of furniture but dreading the sanding part. I don’t like sanding!

Okay it’s not fair…done already? =)
I so need to getting moving. Love the Tassel.

well I’ll be glad to see yours… I’ve got a few projects in mind over next few weeks before we move into our new house… mostly re upolstering, which my BF is desperately trying to talk me out of doing, and paying a professional – I must admit, I’m tempted!!!

Yea for being done!!! I’m so not done…I tore off the nasty boarder…and was greeted with a VERY shoddy job on some dry wall and paneling by the previous owners…which equals lots more work than I was planning on doing…which equals the likelyhood of getting it done by tuesday…with 3 under 3 to care for at the same time…not being good! But I’m trying!!!

NOOO! Can I get a hint of your process before Tuesday, purdy pleeze! I have the EXACT desk and am was considering asking the painters who are painting my some rooms in my house to paint some furniture pieces, but I am not convinced they understood what I meant I was going for a swedish, milkpaintish antiquey look. :- ) Do you regret painting the wood at all? Grain is so great and color was so warm that’s what I’m afraid of.
Oh, since you asked, I’ll give you a hint in a personal email
and I’ll share all the details on Tuesday on my blog!
And no, I don’t regret painting it! I have plenty of beautiful wood pieces in my house that I am keeping natural. In order for my home to not look too dated or heavy I needed to mix things up with painted pieces to get the look I am after. This was the perfect piece, IMO, for a fresh look! I love mixing things up!
phew…i haven’t even began!
can’t wait to see yours too!

and just so I can confess….I still haven’t finished my last procrastinator project. My island stands with the front of the drawers peeled to the wood…it’s lovely I tell you.

I saw a shirt once that read:
Procrastinators of the World UNITE!!!! ….tomorrow
Hehee….I need that shirt! Anyhoo, this is such a cool idea. I just may have to get on board with it. I got some free paint from Glidden back when they were doing their promo – and I have a teeny table thingie that I need to paint, so this won’t cost me anything (which is good since I’ve not got anything!). Thanks for inspiring me and my rooms!
