I , too, am a huge junk chic fan. I have tried many of Kathryn's ideas. In her book, after she moved to West Linn, OR -- she had a beautiful stone "fireplace" fountain in her yard. I tried writing to the publisher to get some help on how to build the fountain itself, but no response. I did find a vintage fireplace fender or apron on ebay.
