I have a (dumb?) question: are uncarpeted stairs slippery? will we have 8-year-olds and 12-year-olds falling down them? and, of course, even more likely their ancient parents? What have you found??

Your “before” looks like my staircase going down to the basement right now. What did you use to get the existing paint off your stairs? I have used various chemical strippers and haven’t had very good success with any…just made a mess. You did a GREAT job btw.
