Monday Inspiration & Chat

Happy Monday everyone!

(is that one of those oxymorons?)

My weekends are so busy that by Monday I am really ready for a day off! But no such luck for me this week.

So today I’d love to pretend I could just pull up a couple of chairs, grab some coffee and chat with YOU!

But I think we’d be even more comfortable lounging in this room…

Monday Inspiration & Chat

What are you all up to today? Got big plans for the week? I have a couple of meetings at my house, a bazillion things on my to do list and another full week ahead. Sigh. I need another me.

What’s going on around your place?

Fun stuff for me. I’m my high school’s teacher of the year, and we are being honored by our school board tonight.

Too bad I got a teeny little bit too much sun yesterday, and my sunscreen wore off. What goes with pink?

    MORE PINK!

Crazy week here too! On Thursday, we are having the Mother’s Day Extravaganza with Alice.com and BlogFrog.
We are giving away a prize every hour! It will be tons of fun though.
I also have my usual, track and baseball and DS 12, baseball games and practice for DS 16 (4 games this week) and work for DS 19, to schedule in.
Keeps me hopping! But I Love it!

I am going to try to organize my spare closet where I keep all of my craft, sewing and decorating stuff so I know exactly what I have. It’s sort of a catch all for whatever doesn’t fit in other closets.
I just love those striped chairs!!

I love those chairs in that picture! Adds to my thoughts that when the living room is redone (and since it’s the only “done” room in the house that will likely be awhile) the chair needs to be recovered in stripes.

Busy but exciting, happy week ahead! My parents are coming down from Virginia, and we’re packing up the boys to meet them at the beach to camp over Mother’s Day weekend. (my son’s bday is on Mother’s day this year and that’s what he wanted to do LOL).

It is shaping up to be a busy week here…A meeting tonight, Candle orders to fill, Mikey’s Interview at Longwood Gardens, Appointments with my Mother-in-law who is having some health issues…and trying to get over this horrible “bug” that has me coughing my head off and not sleeping at night.

    We shall see.

I definitely relate to wishing there were two of me sometimes.

Hope your week is rewarding and successful.

I love Monday’s, cause my husband works weekends, and he’s home for the week Tuesday!
We are going to be busy this week. We installed unfinished pine flooring this spring and we are busy finishing it. Last week, we moved all of our stuff out of our bedroom and stained and polyurethaned the floor, and today I am painting the trim and baseboards, then tomorrow we are going to move all of our stuff back into the bedroom. Then we will get started removing all of our daughter’s things from her room, then we will whitewash and polyurethane her floor. Whew! We are going to be busy! :)
Hope you have a great week! Beth.

I need a clone, too! I’m dying to get some painting done…paint the outside of an armoire that holds the TV, paint the inside of an armoire in the bathroom that holds my toiletries and towels, and paint a chandelier (and hang it!!). I got big plans. I now need big energy and big time.

I plan on keeping myself as busy as possible through Wednesday, re-decorating my little girls rooms. Also, picking up some cute new outfits… I’m meeting my husband in Hawaii on Thursday for a much needed relaxing weekend! LOVE that room by the way.

My dad gave me a fiddle this weekend that’s been hanging in his office. It’s made of matchsticks if you can imagine and very intriguing to look at.

I want to incorporate it into my decor, even though I’ve been trying to modernize my decor. One idea I had was to hang it on the wall (with the back facing out) and put a frame around it, much like the photo of the framed hat in this post: http://www.thedesignfile.net/thedesignfile/2010/04/in-honor-of-the-derby-decorating-with-hats.html

Any other ideas would be welcome!

I’m trying to get organized and STAY organized. This starts the May Madness. The boys are out of school in 3 weeks, I’m trying to get their summer day camps set up, I’m finishing setting up on all our gardens, and I’ve got to get ready for a garage sale. Phew! I’m exhausted! I’d rather sit around with you guys and chat the day away…

Teacher appreciation week and I am the luncheon chair. I rolled paper napkins and forks and knives with twine today. As well as hand stamped all the distressed namecards for the teachers to be placed in lime placecard holders. Cinco de Mayo theme. Love the chevron in the room. Everyday seems to be a Monday for me.

I’m doing some spring nesting at my house this week. Lots of flowers, lined baskets for organizing and spring colors. I love your sight. I get ideas off of it all the time. Today’s post on our blog was inspired by the kind of stuff you put out there for us. Thanks for what you do! http://lovelypraiseworthy.blogspot.com/2010/05/bits-n-pieces.html
