We just learned we’re having the first baby of the next generation in our family – my cousin’s beautiful daughter, Emily. She seems so young to become a mom, but she and her wonderful husband of two years have ticked off every box — graduate from college: check; have a beautiful wedding: check; buy an inspired little house: check; have a great time together with friends all through college and ever since: check! So a new baby is landing in a lucky, happy home! This necklace would go straight to her, ‘cuase I know she’d enjoy it AND save it to pass on.

Our one and only daughter just graduated from high school today. When I saw this, tears welled up in my eyes–ok, they have threatened several times today. I would keep this as a way to hold on to the memory of her as a baby (where does the time go?) as I learn to let go and let her test her wings on her own.
Since our only child graduated high school today, I would keep it to remind me of her as a baby as I learn to let go so she can follow God’s plan for her life.
I’d love to say I’m going to give it away, but honestly I’d keep it for myself. On days like today when I find myself in tears wondering why on earth God thought I would be an appropriate mother for my amazing little girl (she’s 5 months old). I’d look at is as a reminder that He had planned this all along. No matter how inept or unprepared I feel, if God is trusting me with someone so precious I should trust that I have the God-given ability, love and sacrifices within me.

i’d get it for me — we’re about to have our third child in 2 months. would love to have my little family represented.
Selfishly, I’d keep it for myself. I’m due in about 2 weeks and this is my miracle baby (well, aren’t they all?) Anyway, we tried for 10 years..no kidding to have another child. My husband was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and before receiving treatment, the doc said it would not interfere with our baby making plans. Well, they didn’t know what they were talking about!
We tried and tried, even doing invitro many times to no avail. I finally had to give in, with the help of some anti-depressants, and get on with my life. Well, wouldn’t you know, this fall I got pregnant. I’m 42 and feel so blessed.

I am a mum with toddler twins and a new baby due in August.
