HomeGoods, Oh How I love You.
The Yellow Edition.

I do heart this little twiggy, oh so sunny yellow plant stand I found at HomeGoods.

I was going to put it in front of the fireplace with some summer plants.

HomeGoods, Oh How I love You.
The Yellow Edition.

But plants in a plant stand were so, well, predictable (well, actually I couldn’t find any I could keep alive.).

HomeGoods, Oh How I love You.
The Yellow Edition.

So, for now, I decided what we really needed is a place to put all our remotes, or as I like to call them, clickers.

I don’t even know how to turn on the TV by myself, but the rest of the family uses these gadgets.

I am never sure which one to try first.

HomeGoods, Oh How I love You.
The Yellow Edition.

And how about this yellow beauty?

Yellow just makes me happy.

Lanterns make me happy.

HomeGoods makes me happy.

What nifty stuff have you found at HomeGoods lately?

My favorite store ever!! I am like a kid in a candy shop when I go there. Great finds!

Oh, Melissa! I haven’t had time to go to HomeGoods since the last time I shopped for a client-what, a month ago?-and the only thing I found for myself was a boring vanilla-colored duvet cover that I’m going to add my own topper to. (so I don’t actually have to sew the whole thing myself) I love your finds. And I don’t think a yellow curly wire plant stand with plants in it is predictable at all! The ‘curly’ and the ‘yellow’ make it anything but.

Ha, just kidding about the plants. I am totally going to do that. When I find some nice hearty ones :-)

Where did you find that slipcover for the couch? My couch is nearly the same style, and I’ve been searching for one for a while. Love your daily photos!

Will send one of a yellow metal plant stand I found at Home Goods soon!

Love the plant stand! Love the lamp! Love the yellow! Love the HomeGoods!

I haven’t been in a while. Last time I went, I found a lamp and art and baskets and towels – so many goods, so little time!

Laura, which HomeGoods did you go to? I’ve been to two in Houston – one on I10/Katy Fway and one in a shopping center on West Gray.

Those pharmacy lamps on each side of your sofa are both practical and interesting! Are those Home Goods finds as well? I’m looking for floor pharmacy lamps.

    Reply
    • Melissa

No, the pharmacy lamps are not from HomeGoods. I’m trying to remember where I got them. I THINK I might have gotten them from Macy’s…like a year ago or so. I love them. They don’t require a table, for one! And they are very handy for reading! I adore lamps and I love that these are different than a regular table lamp or floor lamp!

Out home goods is an hour away but I am glad to have some “sunny” inspiration this morning. There is a special place in my heart for yellow. I have been holding on to two Tole lamps that are yellow. They need a bit of re wiring.

There are no stores in Oklahoma.

I am so immeasurably sad, but I am sure that my DH would be almost turning cartwheels, since he hates me bringing home (as he calls it) “MORE dustcatchers?!”

SIGH. So the lack of a Home Goods is probably saving my marriage. LOL

I love the couch ~ the white is so beautiful!! Do you have kids? I just wonder because I so LOVE the look of a white couch, but with 3 kids & a dog….I just don’t think it would work. Also, I saw that pillow (with the bird’s nest on it) in a post a while ago & I *love* it! Where did you get it???

The nearest HomeGoods is in San Antonio, about three hours away from Austin. You’d think we’d rate one here but I guess not… *sigh*

i am always declaring my love for the HG, in fact, i call it mecca. As in, i went to the mecca to return something, and of course, you have to give the store the once over! I never get out of there without doing 2 things-spending money and muttering aloud over some strange find. like life size giraffes.

    Melissa,

I love the yellow twiggy stand—I love what you decided to do with it (there are always so many “clickers” attached to TV anymore, right?) and I love the way it looks at the end of the sofa. The pillows on the sofa pop with the yellow stand! That’s great.

I love Home Goods, haven’t been for awhile—I’m inspired to visit this week!

I buy so much in there I can’t even remember everything. It’s my go to place for 500 thread count sheets for amazing prices!

Loved your post, and the fab pillow in the background that you did even mention. I’m in Washington state and do not know what a HomeGoods store is -which is probably a good thing! Love the yellow too. :) (I Googled HG just in case…. none in Washington.)

    I LOVE Home Goods!

My most recent find were velvet curtains for $20 a panel. They were the perfect off color of red I needed for my master bedroom. But the most exciting part was…when I got home and opened them and a roll of hooks wrapped inside the panels had POTTERY BARN stickers on them.

YES ladies….I got Pottery Barn, velvet curtains for $20 a panel at Home Goods!! My best find by far. :)

I heard a couple of weeks ago that HG’s is opening at least one store (Puyallup) in WA this year. Sorry, but that is all I know. They verified this in their FB page.

Also, I travel a lot for work and look for HGs everywhere I travel in case I have time to shop. The TSA people at various airports just laugh and shake thier heads whenever they see me with a package. Sometimes, I even ship things back to my home if things are too many, too heavy or too big to take on the plane. Other times, if I plan things right, I take a suitcase (2 bags free on Southwest Airlines).
