31 Days of Autumn Bliss {Day 17}: <br>Drive By Queen Anne Hill

My husband and I are in love with this house. It is up on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. It is just like a big old beautiful family house that you wish was passed down through the generations to you. And it would be nice if an inheritance came with it that covers all the maintenance, yard work and upkeep. As long as we’re dreaming.

It was really hard to take photos of it because of the privacy hedge and trees. I just wish I had been brave enough to sneak over the barriers and show you how awesome it was! But you can probably guess that it was amazing.

I really wondered what was in that room with the gorgeous big window. Look at how amazing their roof is too!

This is the street out in front of that house. You can see why Drive Bys can be challenging. You can’t always just “Drive By” a house like this. To really show off these lovelies you’d have to pole vault yourself over the shrubs and hope nobody notices the commotion.

The trees are really huge and hide the whole right side of the house.

The front entry area was really cool but it was impossible to photograph. Guess they probably like it that way.

After our fellowship meal at church, everyone will likely come to our place to hang out! I think we may do a bonfire…

I’ve only been to the Queen Anne area a few times, and I was younger so didn’t enjoy the real beauty of it. I grew up not far from Seattle, in North Bend.

Your “wish house” is spectacular! You must keep your “eyes open” as hopefully, someday, it will be on a house tour and you can take us all along. Now, I’m wishing………..franki

I love this house. I used to live a few blocks away (in an apartment) and would run by everyday. When my husband and I got married we bought a house in Kirkland. I love that I live in a family friendly neighborhood now, but sometimes miss my old neighborhood.

What a lovely home!! I love Tudors. We had the privilege of living in one (much smaller than this on) and we loved all of the nooks and crannies and arches. Thanks for sharing!

What a beautiful house~ if Seattle is anything like Vancouver, BC,which I think it is, then there are several more such houses around that area. I love it, too bad it doesn’t belong to one of my relatives!

What a beautiful house! If it were mine, I think I would want to have the trees trimmed away from the house so that you could better see what a gorgeous home I lived in. Just dreaming…. Thanks for sharing the great photos and joy of autumn!

I love the roof…I always want to knock on the door of houses such as this one and ask for a private tour…too nosy or just too much imagination…probably a bit of both. Thanks for sharing!

This Fall afternoon I am at my lovely recently CLEANED home, with fall spicy candles lit, and steaming vegetables and baking cornbread… waiting on my husband and sweet girls to get home… also looking forward to tonight’s finale of Mad Men. Loving every second of my Fall night…

What a beautiful home. After admiring all those luscious details, I remind myself how much cleaning they demand!
We attended the Annual Cranberry Festival today — crafts, antiques, food, music and lots of people.

My youngest daughter ‘s wedding was last night. Everything turned out amazing. Today has been pretty laid back with hubby and me. Upset because I overslept and missed church.

Oh, that’s gorgeous! I grew up in an older home–my parents still live there and it’s about 110 years old. I love, love, love older homes but living in one is just a dream for me unless I can afford to bring it to its full potential! :) ~K
