Oh, wow, yeah, I really wanted to declutter our garage but it didn’t happen. Now it will be next summer before we feel like going out there! :-)

I am always so inspired by all the creative genius out there in blogland! For me – I have to get our garage cleaned out and organized so we can get the cars back in there.

A garage is for cars? Hmmmm.

Since we just moved (second time in the past year), I would really like to finish unpacking and placing all of the accessories that make wherever we are feel like home.

Bonus: Dig my sewing machine out of our storage garage and make personalized Christmas stockings for each of us!

Oh, my sewing machine is lost! It is my moms. She insists it is in my garage (see previous comment lol).

I started stripping and restaining my orangey oak cabinets. By Thanksgiving they will be a deep dark brown stain.

I’ve been dying to paint our fireplace mantle since we moved in three months ago to get it ready for the holiday displays. But, one thing after another has kept me from it. I’m determined that by the end of the month it will no longer be orangey oak, but lovely, fresh white! So excited!

    Those pumpkins are beautiful!

I would like our studio finished ASAP. The drywall dust is killin’ me. I refuse to mop because it makes it worse right now. I could swiffer every hour on the hour and there would still be a fine while film of dry wall dust on everything. Mopping makes wet white film that just smears everywhere.

I keep reminding myself to keep my eye on the prize.

Love all the creative fall ideas!! Those pumpkins are awesome. Hmmm…just one project? Well, it was to be painting the two rooms upstairs that are left to do (Master/Master Bath, and TV room)…but since our shower decided to leak onto our recently painted dining room ceiling, I’d have to say that now takes first priority! Of course, weeding out the basement would be nice too…someday…

My grout is gross! We moved in at the end of the summer and the first thing i said was the grout needed to be done. IT IS BLACK and it should be taupe. I’m not kidding, black, like a public restroom floor black. I have started this week and have 1/3 of the kitchen done – but it’s slooooow going.

We are expecting our 3rd baby on December 3rd and my husband and I have both been nesting like crazy this month! I highly recommend being in the 3rd trimester right before the holidays because you can get a ton of stuff done!

One tiny project we have been putting off is hanging a giant and heavy mirror above our fireplace. Our neighbors put it out on the curb because it had a small crack in the bottom corner, but I know I can put a plant or a tchotchke in front of it to cover.

The doable – interior walls freshly painted by October 29th (underway).

The questionable (but hopeful) – having all the furniture I want repaired and painted done by Dec. 20th.

Can you tell we’re having parties? I want it for us, but I work better with extreme deadlines.

Well, now that I just saw the creative pumpkin pictures I think I need to make sure and do some of those before Thanksgiving. We’re going to try some paper mache’ pumpkins, and I really LOVE the black and white ideas above. Very pretty!

My husband would love for me to paint the laundry room SOON(like starting today), but I’d rather make pumpkins! ;o)

I’ve been wanting to make new curtains for our dining area for months now… I will have them done before Thanksgiving! And maybe new pillows for that area, too :)

I’m having a big dinner party on Sat. night. I want to be organized and get some projects done before then. Yikes! Love the rick-rack on the pumpkins!

I have such a list of projects I want to accomplish, like yesterday…but if I HAD to focus on one to get done before the holidays, I guess it would be painting the kitchen including the trim. I did the cabinets in the Spring and now the walls are screaming for color.

Is that the trick? Focusing on one project at a time…LOL, I never get anything done because I have too many projects I want to do.

My yard is screaming for some TLC and some “fall fashion” That is my TO-DO project…..someday!

I am not as crative with decor as I wish to someday be, but my husband makes it so much easier with his art.

He just finished a small art series, 4- 8×10 paintings, all beautiful fall landscapes. I just need to hang them now!

Well, after my fabulous course on Sunday learning to use my sewing machine at last, there are LOTS of little projects that I hope to get to – the first one is quite simple though – I have to take up the curtains in the garden room – they are a couple of inches too long and I don’t want it to become something I just put up with.

    Wish me luck!

Still working on the sunporch……it will be my get away place. I took 11 bags of stuff our of there last week, and 2 boxes. Still have a ways to go but I made a big dent in it. It will no longer be the dumping ground.

One project – I want to get a puzzle framed (or attached to a big piece of cardboard) and hung on my kitchen wall. There is a perfect spot for it and the puzzle was thrifted so very cheap. I just need to get it on the wall!

I’d like to have a dinner party before the holidays come. We bought our house in April, but then spent a lot of time on our wedding (which was in August) and practically no one has seen our house yet!

But for a real house project, I’d like to pick the artwork that goes over the mantle so that when Christmas comes, the whole mantle will look decorated and festive. Right now it’s decorated – but no artwork.
