Repurposing Furniture {HGTV Featured!}

I love this Hoosier Cabinet by Isabella & Max (and the room too!)

I was so excited and honored to be featured again, alongside a couple of other familiar bloggers, on HGTV.com!  We were asked to share ideas for how we have re-purposed or revamped furniture or other items in our home!

Enjoy the slideshow of repurposing furniture ideas at HGTV and see if you recognize any of the images or bloggers who were featured! I spy Janell Beals of Isabella & Max, Marian of Miss Mustard Seed, Donna of Funky Junk Interiors! Now they are REALLY talented ladies!

You’ll recognize a few simple re-purposing ideas from around my house (and one that has already been repainted!)! I have another “re-using” project planned for the very near future and I cannot wait to show you what I’m going to do!

The slideshow is at HGTV.com

    It’s so cool when your work doesn’t really seem like work, because you enjoy it so much — and it shows. You’re an artist! By the way, I love your little gold finches at the top! Spring is here!

    I always enjoy your blog and thought it was a great slideshow! My only issue with HGTV is they don’t seem to understand the meaning of the word repurpose. When you take a dresser and repaint it, are you not still using it for its original purpose of storage? More like repainting than repurposing. Now, taking a ladder and hanging it on the wall as a shelf truly IS repurposing. I know, nit-picky, but HGTV does this all the time! Keep inspiring us all!

      I wondered that too a bit, the ladder and the cupboard doors were definitely repurposed but the coffee table is just blue rather than wood. However, the blue table IS repurposed in the sense that I gave it a new life and it is now being used again, not as something different but something fresh and new in my home rather than sitting lonely in the garage. Maybe that is what they mean!

        Being able to use something again that wasn’t being used is always a good thing! I need to dig out some fun paint colors and go to town on my old stuff!
