Decorating a Home
Do you need tips for decorating a home? I’m here to help with my How to Decorate series!
I’ve written thousands of decorating posts over the years on The Inspired Room. And I’m thrilled that 400,000 individuals come to The Inspired Room each month to find inspiration for ways to decorate their home. Decorating is a subject I love and am passionate about! Your home is a place of refuge for you and you deserve to have a home you love.
Because there are so many helpful posts here at The Inspired Room, I have assembled a gallery of ideas and a huge list of of my top decorating tips and ideas into one place, the How to Decorate series!
This series is like one stop shopping, or “Decorating 101” for simple, doable decorating help!
If you have ideas for other things you’d like to see in this series, please let me know in the comments! Be sure to visit the How to Decorate series of posts and the gallery!
I’m looking forward to reading “how to decorate,” part deux!
Excited for your series! Have a fabulous day!
I’m excited about this series! I have often wondered about people’s creative process.
Looking forward to the series. You have such elegant and yet casual style. Very nice :)
Thanks Dana, I appreciate it!!
Wonderful news! Excitedly awaiting the new series! Best of luck! :)
Looking forward to the new series. How exciting :) I saw that you were nominated over at Apartment Therapy and voted yesterday for you :) Congrats on being nominated. That is so fun!
Well you are awesome to do that, thank you :-) xo
I am very happy that in your new series you will be doing your office, Melissa! Me, too! Will you cover bookshelf styling? Sigh. I have a ton of books, but I don’t want the shelves to look like the public library. . .I think I need practical (all the books) and pretty (a nice arrangement w/a few decorative things mixed in).
Blessings,
Sindy
Thanks Sindy! I will cover EVERYTHING I can think of to do with decorating! So yes, styling bookshelves for sure! I will endeavor to cover things people are interested to read, so I appreciate the suggestion of what would be helpful!
I took most of the covers off my books and organized them by color. I LOVE how it looks and has become the focal point of our living room. :) I am also super excited for this new series. How to decorate an apartment that you cannot paint, would be one that I’d be keeping an eye out for. :0
I’m looking forward to your new course, Decorating 101. No matter how long you’ve been at it, you can always learn something new, and see things with fresh eyes!
I like the ideas you have posted here…Well for me it is a help too…
I need Decorating 101! Thank you, this will be a great help.
Hi Melissa. I’ll keep my comment very simple today. I can’t wait for your series. As I’ve mentioned previously, I love your innovative and polished ideas. Also, I’d like to take a moment to congratulate you on your nomination. I sense that you will be adding to collection of awards. So happy for your all of your success.
Hi – I love looking at your blog. I enjoy reading your posts and looking through all the great decorating ideas. I would be interested in ideas on decorating a 2 story family room as well as bedrooms/bonus rooms that have angled ceilings. I’d love to hear decorating ideas for these “odd-shaped” rooms. Looking forward to seeing more of Decorating 101. Thank-you!
I always enjoy looking at your site and reading every post you have…Thanks for this awesome one…
Oh how exciting! I hope I can keep up with this.
