This post is sponsored by One Kings Lane, but my daydreams are my own.

Alright. So, I admit it. It isn’t really a secret around here anyway. I have always been a dreamer when it comes to my home. I grew up dreaming of living in castle, if that gives you any indication of my reasonable expectations. While I have matured a bit to where I do realize, now, after years of therapy (I kid! I kid!), that I will probably never live in a chateau in the South of France, I still like to feel like I’m that little girl living in her dream house. Even though I’m actually living in a new house on a small lot in the state of Washington. Don’t burst my bubble.

Do you all get a picture in your mind of where you live? One that doesn’t even really resemble reality,  but it keeps you somewhat entertained and enchanted with your fairly ordinary home? Maybe you add great architecture to your builder house, plant lovely gardens, or keep your eye out for just the right furniture pieces and accessories to get the look you dream about, even though you live in an ordinary house in the suburbs?

After our little getaway this week to Victoria and seeing the beauty of Empress Hotel, I’m feeling in the mood for a summer home in the south of France. Maybe like the one in the picture at the top of the post? Do you think it’s too much? I picture it overlooking the sea, of course. Details, whatever. You’d visit me there, right? I would invite you to a party and maybe you could have your own wing in the guest quarters.

But until that dream comes true, I can add a little bit of that style right where I am with a few inspired pieces. On that note, I found a few items I would LOVE to have from a Martha Stewart sale over at One Kings Lane. I’m sharing these just in case, you know, you too might want to create a South of France inspired dream in your little corner of the world.

1. Chester Dining Table 2. Georgia Chaise 3. Cuisine Hanging Light 4. Cheese Chalk Board 5. Rectangular Tray

You can find all these items and more at One Kings Lane. A little tip from me? It is one of those flash sales again where quantities are limited and you have to be one of the first to get there to shop, or your bubble might burst before your “I’m moving to the south of France” dream comes true. And I for one don’t want to dash your dreams. So RUN! GO! See what loveliness awaits! But don’t worry, there is always something new to discover even if these items disappear.

So have a little fun window shopping today in the South of France and maybe you’ll find something you love. It is completely free to sign up, browse, and dream a little. You are welcome.

PS. Can I just tell you that my kitchen counters are going in TODAY? Maybe you’ll see some sneak peeks on Instagram if you follow me there (theinspiredroom), but I for sure will have updates here for you SOON on all that has been happening and what is left to do! There was a bit of a lull on our progress the past couple of weeks, but this week the pace is picking back up! YAHOO! I don’t like lulls.

Congrats on your countertops!! Can’t wait to see how they turn out! It’s been so fun watching the progress of your kitchen. I always imagine in my dreams living in a small village in France, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Czech Republic or Switzerland… Come to think of it, my dream home is located anywhere in Europe ;) One of my favorite shows on TV is House Hunters International; and my favorite episodes always end up being the ones in small villages in France… gorgeous homes, gorgeous land…

LOVE that chateau! The photos from your Victoria trip were impressive, too! Can’t wait to see your new countertops. And thanks for creating a wing for me in your guest quarters. ;) Now I’m off to do a little South of France shopping. ~Carrie

Cool that you got new counters today too, I bet you are excited!

I’m still waffling on what color to paint my cabinets. I decided to wait until I see the counters and tile and then decide what I want to see.

This post just hit a soft spot for me! I studied abroad in Southern France and a little piece of my heart is still there! BUT like you, I live in Washington State :)

I love the inspiration from that part of the world, the landscape, architecture and design are gorgeous and timeless.
