In case you missed the mention of this the other day, I announced the date of the Holiday Home Tours on The Inspired Room! This year I’m doing things a bit differently in that I’ve joined up with the lovely ladies you see above!
Each of us is hosting a different fresh holiday theme for you to enjoy and link up with. I love the topics, and know we’ll be inspired. I enjoy partnering with other bloggers and introducing you to some you may not know yet so I’m honored to be a part of this group! You can find out more on the rest of the parties and links to the hosts as they go live by going to Cottage Magpie!
So the Holiday Home Tour will start on December 15th, right here at The Inspired Room. You will come to The Inspired Room to link up and visit the other holiday homes! If this is your first linky party and you aren’t sure what to do, don’t worry. I can help you figure this out when the time comes! The 15th is really not too far away so we need to get ourselves READY to open our doors and invite people over for a tour of our home all decorated for Christmas! HA! No pressure.
Have I mentioned I haven’t really decorated for Christmas yet, other than my Woodland Tree and Nativity scene? And there is a small glitch with my schedule in that I will be out of town for about four days between now and then, so my time will be kinda tied up with flying across the country and back? Eek! So there’s that. But, Christmas WILL happen here. It must. I will get it together and invite you all in one way or another.
Thanks for sharing about the parties and planning on linking up and visiting!
QUESTION OF THE DAY: How does Christmas sneak up on us so fast?
Even when I get started early like I did on my tree (and everyone is wondering why I started so early) next thing I know I’m feeling behind. Maybe I take a little break after I start and then I lose track of time. Maybe I’m slow. Maybe I get distracted. Maybe no one offered to go under the house for me to bring out our decorations.
Guess I should stop talking about it, get off the computer now, put on the Christmas tunes, and get festive! {Inviting people over works like a charm for motivating me to clean too!}. I’ve got a few fun ideas in my head. so I’m pretty excited to get my holiday groove on again. Off I go!
Inviting friend over is my favorite motivation to do a good job of cleaning my home.
Fondly,
Glenda
Oh yes, inviting friends works for me too. I just scheduled a dinner party for the 9th. Guess I’d better get off here and start decorating too! Haha! Safe travels! (hope there’s a bit of fun involved)
So fun! I’m telling you…I love Christmas around The Inspired Room! :-) Christmas totally sneaks up on me every year. It seems like when we’re kids Christmas can’t come soon enough; but when we have our own homes, time just slips away! Christmas crafting is my favorite, though, so I try to enjoy every minute.
Count me in. I want to get everything spic and span.
So exciting! I can’t ‘wait for this linky party (and to see your Christmas decor), I think it’s going to be amazing!! ~Angela~
Yes, it sure does sneak up fast … and sometimes by choice. Last year, I did most of my shopping on Halloween!

Go figure … and it really worked well for me … plenty in the stores, no crowds, good deals, no pressure to buy something I didn’t really want. I love getting this done early or online, and then enjoy nesting in the final weeks …
I’m so excited about Christmas this year :) I don’t know why. I think because we always start it off so well with shopping in the Adirondacks and then it just swoops in! I’m working on a home made christmas this year for most of the adults in my family with little sweet purchases thrown in here or there :) Excited about your home tour!
We have our tree up – that is it! I need to get Thanksgiving down to put Christmas up – procrastinating! Not sure why, I love Christmas and all the lights in the house. Okay, maybe I just need to get off the computer and just do it too!
Having a special guest always gets me going at a more rapid pace. However I love to cherish the whole process of this time of year. Call me sentimental, but this is the time of year I look back on so many sweet sweet memories. It never fails that I cry when placing the little handmade ornaments of my kiddos!! It isn’t even Dec.1st we always get the important stuff done. It is all of the this and that’s that we finally let go at the end!!
Happy Thursday!
Kathysue
My house is all ready for it Melissa! Looking forward to it.
I am always so ambitious, I never get to everything I think of. I think getting shopping done early helps, so I can focus on decorating and festivities now. Also I plan out all my new ideas ahead, so I can look for what I need at leisure and for bargains! I do plan to sit by the pool and write out my Christmas cards, (bought after Christmas each year!) but somehow that hasnt happened yet. Thanks for all the great inspiration, love your trees you’ve done, can’t wait to be even further inspired!
Really excited about this! I love to see all the wondefully festive Christmas beauties people come up with! I’m going to soak it all up! :)
I’m ready!
