Green has always been one of my favorite colors. Since March snuck up on us (how did that happen?) and St. Paddy’s Day will be here before we know it, I thought we should be inspired to add a touch of green to our decor!

Do you like the color green?

Ya’ll, I’m STILL pinching myself about this exciting news– EEK! I am so honored to have been listed in the top five home decor bloggers by the editors of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine!

WHA? YAHOO! CRAZAAAY!? RIGHT? So I always feel totally awkward asking for help on anything, but so many of you have been with me here since I started this blog seven years ago and I’m extremely grateful for your support and encouragement along this wild journey. Without you I’d be talking to myself every day.

So here’s the deal: readers are able to vote on the five finalists for the top decorating blogger until March 5th, and you can vote every hour! (You don’t have to post it on Facebook for it to count). If you could rally your mom, your dog, your cousins and neighbors far and wide to vote every hour, maybe I’ll have a chance!! I appreciate you all SO MUCH.

Here’s where to vote, just click the vote button under my face at this link! Thank you!

Love your site, your creativity, and great info you share w/ us. Have tried X2 to vote for you for BH&G blog site awards; but, alas, one cannot vote unless signed up for Facebook (system doen’t require going to Facebook, but does require Facebook membership…UGH!) With the many ways Facebook and other social meida “share” users’ info, have opted not to go onto social media sites. Is there any other way to cast a vote in your direction? (Please!)

Again, truly enjoy your blog…it’s the best I’ve found!

After being buried in Chicago with more snow than one needs in a lifetime…I really need my green indoors.
Hopefully, green will soon return outdoors.

    First – Congratulations!
Second – love the touches of green. There’s just something about bringing more green into life after the dark and dreary winter days.

Hope you win, I voted and yes, I LOVE the color green. Especially the “pison” -poison- acid green that’s spring and means sap is rising.

Just love all this green–maybe it’s my Irish roots. :) Love your blog, too, and voted for you (as well as shared with my FB). Good luck!!

Green has always been my favorite color. I haven’t used much of it in my current home, because it was used extensively in my last one. Of course, my wall color is a faint greenish/bluish, so does that count?

Of course spring is a reason to go green…the buds, the the tiny leaves, cabbage with my corned beef.

Green is lovely. It freshens up, livens up, and of course, makes me think of spring. What an honor that you have been among the few decorating blogs chosen! Good luck, Melissa!

I like some shades of green but I am very picky about it. By the way, it is St. Paddy’s Day not Patty’s. Paddy is the nickname for Patrick.
