Simple Is Beautiful

Simple Is Beautiful

Hello, friends!

I stopped in our local market this weekend for some groceries

and picked up these cheery coral carnations while I was there.

The simplest things can really brighten up a Monday, don’t you think?

What things do you do to make Mondays more lovely?

Welcome, Mondays! I love opening the windows wide when making up the bedroom and cleaning the bathroom. Fresh air, sometimes rather breezy and bracing, swirls in to start the morning right … and everything seems to sparkle.

Change from my nightgown to jeans/sweatshirt before going to the barn to do chores.
I have been known to do chores in my nightgown. The animals don’t seem to mind.

Flowers bring a smile to the heart! I love them! I like to look at the sun and mountains from the back porch/ window. Joy comes from the simplest of things!!

Simple little joys are the best. I love to paint…any day of the week. :-) And to reorganize some corner of the house, to make it feel more cozy. It’s so much fun!

Your flowers look so pretty! We are on the same wavelength. I bought some white tulips at the grocery store last week. They are simple, but made me happy.
Love the green Ball jars.. I hope I find them in Ohio before Spring is over.

Amazing how just a few sweet blooms can brighten a room (and our outlook). Love it!

I love a pop of color too and although I’m not a fan of carnations, I have to admit the ones in your photo make that space shout, “I’m happy!” What gets me through a Monday? COFFEE, and more coffee. (Seriously, I drink the stuff all day long.) A clean desk, (very rare) and a great smelling candle. The eucalyptus mint candle at Bath and Body works smells clean and fresh and there is nothing like having a fresh smelling space.

The town recently opened a new Y and I joined with my neighbor. We are on the third week of going for the early morning water aerobics class. The pool area has a wall of windows and faces east. Working out while watching the sun come up is becoming a delightful habit.

I have started buying a small bunch of flowers once a week and spread them out around the house. It is lovely to walk around and see a sprig of color here and there.
