Sesame and Lilies in Cannon Beach {Out to See}

Sesame and Lilies in Cannon Beach {Out to See}

My family has a beach house near Cannon Beach. It is our favorite little beach town near us, so we have spend a lot of time there over the years. Not only is Cannon Beach a lovely place to get away from it all (I will do a Cannon Beach post soon, too!) it also has one of my all time favorite shops, Sesame & Lilies.

It’s a place you WILL want to to buy things (well, at least I do — I never leave empty handed) but it is also just a real treat to linger in.  In fact, I think I could move in and live happily ever after. I love soaking in all the delightful vignettes and eye candy! I always come home with new ideas for my own house, too. SUCH A TREAT! We were there a few weeks ago and I knew you’d love it too, so I did my best to give you a peek!

I will let you wander around and take it all in! Woo hoo! Enjoy!

Here’s another of my favorite NW stores, this one is in Seattle! Check out Watson Kennedy, you’ll love it too!

    Okay. They had me at that huge plate rack with all the blue + white plates. WOW!
    Re: Watson Kennedy — the owner, Ted, has a daily blog that I love reading.
    He has such a joy for living, right down to the smallest detail, + I find his posts very inspiring.

    It looks like the kind of store I’d love to visit and explore at leisure… Too bad it’s far from where I am. :-)

    I have been trying to conjure up a trip to Cannon Beach since I read your post about your recent visit there. Seeing your pix of this store again makes me want to really force the issue. I am going to love this store.

    Thank you for sharing such a wonderful place. I loved all of the ironstone and Willow Ware. I am truly a dish hoarder. I always have a set of white, a set of black, and lots of other in-betweens. I have seaside shells that I bought for a song. I use them for entertaining friends and to hold many of my sea related items at art markets. I keep searching for places like this, but since Hurricane Katrina most of them did not re-open and I have to travel further for spending a wonderful day browsing and buying.

    Cannon Beach is such a charming little town. It’s a beautiful part of the country. I have great summer time memories of stuffing my face with giant blueberries on the way to Cannon Beach. Thank you for sharing!

    Good grief, I live in Astoria and almost never get down there! Why!?! I’ve never even heard of this shop, but I now know where hubby and I are going on our next day out alone!

    I was there a couple of weeks ago. The weather was unusually warm and no wind. Perfect day on the beach. I cannot visit Cannon Beach without a visit to Sesame & Lillie’s. Like you, I never leave without a little treasure! Love that store!!

    The only thing better than a good old browse around a great shop is a good old browse around a coastal shop! Love that plate rack full of lovely blue and white china :)
