8 Dreamy Spaces

Remember when we talked about the gorgeous home from Something’s Gotta Give? I came across these beautiful photos on Lonny and just had to share them with you! The Lonny writers share my love for Nancy Meyers movie sets, and they dreamed a little by compiling some spaces that would be right at home in a Nancy Meyers film. Enjoy!

Just gorgeous! Especially the nursery with that incredible black planked ceiling, and that last outdoor space – dreamy!

Something about that animal leg table in the first picture creeps me out! Other than that, everything’s gorgeous!

Hi Melissa, I enjoyed this, but the nursery caused me to pause. I don’t know anything about the plant in the photo, but I think I’d want a disclaimer that reminds people to check out any plants in your home to make sure they aren’t toxic–especially in a baby or small child’s room. I can just picture a leaf falling and a curious baby munching. Just sayin’ . . .

SO BEAUTIFUL! One of the most stunningly soothing lineups I’ve seen in a long time. I love that the Estee Stanley nursery was in there – it’s an all-time fave. You just gained a follower! xx, Stephanie

Hmmm…is there a current trend in decorating that is minimalistic? Even magazines that I used to get for their cozier look have seemed to go minimal. To me, they look as if no one lives there. Even some of my go to home and garden shows (even This Old House) are showing such cold, empty spaces. Insight?

Definitely people are starting to shift a little to a cleaner look, probably in response to the “noise” in the world .. but I certainly hope that won’t mean a space that looks like no one lives there! I still like a cozy space but I’m not into minimalism at all, that plain lifeless look just doesn’t appeal to me. I’ve never really been one to want a lot of stuff everywhere, though! Fewer things but deliberate things that make me happy. :-)
