DIY Reclaimed Wood Lamp & The Home Depot DIY Workshop

This post was created in a partnership with The Home Depot
Natalie from Doodlecraft created this winning reclaimed wood lamp

Hello! Do you see that fun lamp in the photo above?

I’m excited to announce I will be co-hosting a Lamps & Lighting DIY Workshop on July 12 from 10:00-11:30AM at The Home Depot store in Bellevue, WA!

So, can you guess what I’m going to be making and bringing to the Workshop? EEK!

Recently The Home Depot partnered with Instructables.com for a Lamps & Lighting  Contest. The winning project pictured above was based on the following criteria: clarity, ingenuity, creativity, quality of presentation and execution. Would you believe Natalie from Doodlecraft made the Himmeli shade out of coffee stir sticks? So clever. You can find all the DIY instructions here for the awesome Reclaimed Wood Lamp and the Himmeli shade.

Well, did you guess? I will be creating my own version of the Instructables winner’s lamp project! Slightly (ok very) nervous about that, but I’m going to give it my best shot and sharing it here too, for your amusement. :).

The Home Depot offers free workshops for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels who want to learn how to take on more home projects. If you want to sign up for a workshop, you can find one near you and sign up via this link to the DIY Workshops registration page. Use the hashtag #DIYWorkshop to follow along on social media!

The location and time of The Home Depot I will be at is below:

The Home Depot Store #4711

Bellevue, WA 98005

July 12th 10:00-11:30AM

Hope to see some of you there!

I wouldn’t have known that the Himmeli shade was made of coffee stir sticks if you didn’t mention it. Fantastic! Pinned to my “Cleverly Repurposed” board. Best of luck on your workshop.
