I love updating the lighting in our home to bring a unique personality to every room. I get a lot of questions about where I get my light fixtures and which models I have, so to make it easier for you as readers to find the information more efficiently (and easier for me to answer), I decided to do a round up of all of our light fixtures–where to find them and any ordering information!
Unfortunately a few of our light fixtures are out of stock or no longer available, but we did try to find a few comparable fixtures.

Hey Melissa! I feel like I woke up one day and all of a sudden there were all of these choices of different lighting…has lighting revolutionalized or is just me? I found Joss & Main to be a good find when it comes to many different fixtures, they have a great selection and their pricing was not too bad ( especially since every fixture I like seems to be above my budget, I mean, way above my budget!) However, lighting I find can be tough, sometimes I think a fixture is going to look great or amazing in a space and it just isn’t right. This has happened to me recently, I found a fixture and once it was installed I thought maybe the bulb needed to be changed but it was actually the entire fixture. I believe was modern for the space. I just received a new fixture that I ordered yesterday and I think I finally found the right one!
I’m in love with Rejuvenation for lighting. Yes, they’re expensive, but most of their pieces are made in the USA and that’s really hard to find with lighting.
I love the lighting but I have a question…..in picture 1 of the kitchen shelves what brand and where did you buy those bowls? Love those!!
Thanks! They’re from Anthropologie, I can’t find a link for the striped ones but here are the floral ones: http://bit.ly/11vGe4x
Yay light fixtures! A Rejuvenation catalog landed in my mailbox just this week. And just this morning, I told my spousal equiv. that he’s going to have to move some light fixture boxes a tad higher for our over-the-kitchen-sink sconces. WHOOPS. They hate when that happens.
I love all of these options! Melissa, are you happy with the light output from them all? I really want to spend a little more and upgrade our fixtures to some like these, but wonder if the light will be good/bright enough.
I tend to have multiple sources of light in every room. In our kitchen we have canned lights in the ceiling as well as the wall sconces, the Barnlight ceiling fixtures and table lamps. I love mood lighting so the variety gives me a variety of options even if one alone wouldn’t be enough.
Ideally in a bathroom you would have the same set up to give you the most amount of light. Ours only have not super bright wall lights, though, so we may at some point change our exhaust fans into one that has both a ceiling light and the fan. But meanwhile, it’s just a kids bathroom or a powder room so it’s not a big deal…plus in the daytime there is natural light from a skylight in two of the bathrooms.
In bedrooms we use the ceiling light with the table lamps and wall sconces when we need maximum light. Combined with daylight from the windows it’s plenty bright in the bedrooms and at night there is a nice glow!
If you don’t have canned lighting in the ceiling, it is important to check the wattage that your fixture can handle to make sure your room will be bright enough for your taste, and then be prepared to add other ambient lighting as well. :-)
I love those barn lights. I have two, but they are actually hanging in the barn! lol
This is definitely an area where I need to be pushed out of my comfort zone! Thanks for all the great examples. There is so much variety now, it’s a shame to stay boring and safe…
It’s true, there really are so many options and affordable varieties too! It’s a good way to add a little personality!
