Home Goals Worksheet 2015

Are you ready to make some improvements to your life at home? Let’s do this! But first, happy New Year to you, friends! It’s time for a fresh start! Are you excited for 2015? Eeek! I am!

As this new year begins (2015? Holy Cow!), it’s a great time to sit down and think through what we really want from our life at home. Where do we want to spend our time and money and effort? What results do we want to see next year when we look over the past year?

I’m a big believer in setting home goals because once you write them down, you can experience a sense of peace and clarity about what your next steps are. And knowing what you are going to focus your attention on brings a sense of relief that those troubling areas, bad habits you have that impact your home negatively, or things that bother us about our homes can actually improve.

We can’t do it all, but we can focus on a few things that matter to us this year and make them better than they are right now.

So, download your Home Goal sheet and start to do some thinking and planning! Then fill out the worksheet (it’s not hard, I like to make things simple and manageable for normal people like me) and hang it up somewhere you’ll see it. If you are overwhelmed with where to start, don’t worry. We can do this together! I have lots of ideas to share with you this year to help you to really love the home you have!

We’ll talk more about home goals and my own home goals soon! Meanwhile, Happy New Year to you!! I’m so excited to hang out with you this year!

If you missed my last couple of posts, I hope you’ll take a peek and join me in the journey to a decluttered and more peaceful home!

I have a love hate relationship with goals. Don’t ask me why because I don’t even really know. But, I love your sheet, I think it will help keep me going in the right direction with home goals.

I’m a little like Lisa above – not a big one for new year resolutions but I am big one at this time of year for pondering, dreaming and getting all inspired so I’ll be downloading this little list – I have maybe 50 home projects I’d like to get done now so choosing 4 might help me with focus and direction and I have 2 children’s rooms calling out to me for a fresh start. Happy New Year Melissa and thank you for your constant inspiration.

I love your printout! January seems to bring out the organizing bug in all of us. I started a design planning series today in my newsletter and this first week is all about clearing the clutter and how clutter itself affects you. Writing down your goals makes them easier to see and scratching off each one as you finish them makes you feel so accomplished don’t you think?

This worksheet is great! I feel like actually writing down home projects and rooms I want to tackle will help me to stick with it and actually do it. I will be sending this to my female family members as well!

Thanks for this. I am going to pass this on to my mother. My parents lost almost everything to a house fire and smoke damage about a year and a half ago (including the home). It was been a real struggle for them, as you can imagine, to try to replace and start again. Even though it sounds like it might be fun to have a big lump of money, a new house, and the ability to start fresh, it has been VERY overwhelming for them (especially my mother). I have been trying to help them both but if you have any other ideas/tips for helping them define their style and how to get started, it would be great. After losing an evolving style which took 20 years to build, they are really at a loss to start again. They have picked out a few new pieces (couch, end tables, chair) and have a few wood pieces from the fire they were able to refinish and save, but none of them really go together well. I’ve been trying to help, but my husband and I recently had a baby and are still renovating our own home, so my time/help isn’t as frequent as I’d like.
Thanks for any help/advise you can give in advance!
