    All very stunning, of course!
I love the gray slate, running bond floor tiles in the top (Lauren Liess’**) bathroom.
I’m thinking of doing something similar in our kitchen.
    **Don’t we love her?

I could live with all of them but the one that sticks out to me the most is the one that curves around the corner with the upper cupboard set at the corner. We do this all the time in our kitchens but for some reason in the bathroom it is always a straight line. Love this and am keeping it in my mind for “someday”.

I’m obsessed with the painted cabinets and a light counter, like marble. Love it!

I l the fact that your post today is of bathroom inspiration. I just wrote a post on Monday telling about my own bathroom troubles and how I’m going to be re-designing it to go along with my Design Planning series. I had a leak under the sink and had to find new storage solutions for that space that wouldn’t get ruined by water because (of course) everything I had there got thrown in the trash! These bathrooms are beautiful and I may use one or two ideas in my own. Thanks!

I love bathrooms, especially powder rooms since you can go a little crazy since they are rarely used and water issues are less. Wallpaper can be dramatic- I went with a large mirror image design of gingko with soft yellow and ivory, with touches of gold and silver, in the Seattle home- could not work anywhere else. Then I added lithos using those soft colors of misty forest scenes. I even added a few photos of our wedding day- we used the same colors for that great day. And it works; people come out with comments and how they loved being the room~~~ The island home has a Hawaii theme since I wanted one room some place that echoed that feeling you get there while still in the more grayed PNW. That room used a Ralph Lauren toasty yellow on the lower half of the wainscoting- it would be like the current Brass color. And then photos of Chihuly vases and brocades of exotic carp fish, and with pictures taken there. Bright orange is the pop of color throughout, even the hand towels. I love going in there and feeling that warm and liveliness of that island on ours.

Thanks, Melissa, for a beautifully curated collection of bathrooms! I loved the first five photos. My own bathrooms have gray tile floors and white subway tile showers, which we just lucked into when we bought our house a year ago. However, almost all of the examples above are gray and white, which, although it’s my current favorite color combo, probably means that gray and white as a decorating theme will soon have seen its day, only to be replaced by another trend. Yes, gray and white is timeless, especially with touches of wood. It will always come back in the cycle of favorites. But if you remember the color schemes in your childhood homes or even your own earlier homes, you’ll realize that “timeless” doesn’t mean “ongoing.” Yay for change!

    HI Melissa

Can you please tell me how to see more pictures of the bathroom by Densign Sponge. I’m about to undergo a bathroom remodel and that appears to be exactly what I have in mind.
