Lately: Meet Leo & The Next Project

So, it was a busy and exciting weekend for our family on many fronts. First of all, I can’t wait to share with you the first batch of photos from my favorite homes at this year’s Street of Dreams! I made a real quick trip to tour the homes last week and took hundreds of pics! I have lots of lovely details to share with you in upcoming posts. I was so inspired! You can see a sneak peek above. Gorgeous, right?

Lately: Meet Leo & The Next Project

But besides just drooling over houses, I would like to introduce you to Leo! He is a precious 11 week old labradoodle. We are so blessed that through a series of happy circumstances and unexpected blessings, this furry guy joined our family.

Have you ever seen such a sweet face?

Lately: Meet Leo & The Next Project

We brought him home to meet his “big sister” Bella this weekend (his “mom and dad” are my daughter Kylee and her husband Lance). Bella was quite pleased, although she probably didn’t realize Leo was going to be staying permanently. Ha.

While they haven’t officially met yet, Jack & Lily will be thrilled to have a new “cousin” to romp and play with. I can already imagine the fun these four will have together.

He is SO sweet, very mellow and loving. He slept and rested quietly all the way home and even slept through the night.

Lately: Meet Leo & The Next Project

I think he already feels very much at home.

I’ll continue sharing the antics of all four pups around the house on the blog. You can follow Jack on his Facebook page to see regular updates from his perspective and since we have so many pups now, we set up their own Instagram so we can keep up with their adventures at home and away.

If you’d like to follow along, you can find them at @DoodlesAtHome on Instagram and Facebook.

Speaking of adventures at home, besides ALL THE PUPS, this next week is going to be super exciting around my house!

It’s been such a long wait but FINALLY ….

Lately: Meet Leo & The Next Project

THIS IS HAPPENING! This week our house is being pressure washed and next week WE WILL LIVE IN A WHITE BRICK HOUSE!

I just can’t even believe it’s finally happening, but it is.

PS. I’m so sorry if you had trouble getting to the blog in the last day or so! The blog went down, but it should all be up and running again.

What a SWEET, Incrediably CUTE addition to your family! God Bless! I’m excited for you to finally have your dream of having a white brick house! Exciting times for you as you see these things finally happening! Yeah! Enjoy! ???

Melissa, Leo looks like a squeezably soft stuffed puppy. So adorable!!! I just want to reach through the screen and hug him. What a lovely blessing. He isn’t as curly as the other pups and has the white muzzle… so he’s definitely different in the mix. And did I say ADORABLE! You just might turn this cat lover into a dog lover yet. (We’ve always had cats because they worked out better for our lifestyle.)

Sorry to hear your blog was down again. :(

That is the cutest Doodle ever. Our Teddy is the opposite of mellow!

There is a Street of Dreams in the Seattle area? I thought it was on hold?!?

Actually it was in Portland! Sorry about that. I’m sad it’s not here! I haven’t been in years, since I lived in Portland. I had to drive down just to go to it!

So interested in your cart in the background of one of the pictures…would you share where you got it?

That baby is so adorable and his name is so fitting for him, happy for you, I told my kids if I can’t have a grand baby I would take a grand pup…haha

Love all your fury family!! In my book “THE MORE THE BETTER”! Can’t wait to see the outside of your house.

Leo is adorable. Of course the rest of your pack are so cute too. I have to say that after having one week with our daughters Bicon and Standard Poodle at our house while they’re away, one large dog is enough to-I can’t imagine a house with four dogs running wild. What fun for your kiddos though.
If I was younger and stronger it probably wouldn’t be an issue though.
Can’t wait to watch Leo grow up.

What a babyhead. Leo is so darn cute he almost doesn’t look real. BTW, your daughters are absolutely gorgeous…just like mom. Congratulations on having your house exterior painted; there’s nothing like being able to get to a home project you’ve been waiting to finish.

We can’t wait to get to the backside of our house. Not only did the original contractors not continue the brick from the front and sides of the house, it literally looks like they covered it with plywood (yuck). Plus, why no one ever installed a window in the dining room in this 1979 house is a real mystery. Making these exterior changes are high on our to-do list. Cheers, Ardith

I’m looking forward to you white brick reveal! ? Very exciting!!!

That Leo…he’s a keeper! And I am a huge fan of painted brick. Sorry the weather is about to be uncooperative for painting. It’s still August…what’s with this drizzle? Huh? What’s up?

Your house is coming along. You must be thrilled that progress is being made. Hang in there.

  13. Jennifer

    There are so many whites!!!
Can you share your process for picking which white?
    Thanks :)

    Hi Melissa.
I recently became a subscriber to your blog and loving it – thanks!
While I love all the tips, diy, tours, inspiration, decor, reno etc., I’m a serious doghugger so I can’t tell you how much fun it is to also see posts with your dog-kids, Jack & Lily, Bella…and now Leo. Leo the Labradoodle – how fitting! I’m grinning from ear to ear looking at Leo and could just eat him up he’s SOOOOO adorable!
I subscribe to a long list of blogs through a feed but only three through my private email address & yours is one of them. Your blog satisfies my daily home and dog addictions all in one! ?
