Coming to a blog near you

Hello! Eek, I’ve been swamped since Thursday, in case you are wondering if I climbed into one of those swings from my previous post and fell asleep for a couple of days! I wish!

Just a little preview, I have some great things planned for you, not only is my 100th post grand give-away just days away (stay tuned for when it will all take place!), I’ve personally interviewed an author and interior designer who has a new book coming out (and if she is good enough to have been on Oprah, you know she is good enough for my blog, you better believe it!). She has very inspiring ideas we can all use!

I also will be featuring a wonderful French-inspired shop and its delightful owner, both of which you are going to love! Plus I’ve got ideas galore in my head and all over my desk just waiting to get on my blog! Yep, oodles and oodles of stuff in the works for you!

And last but not least, the big reveal of all the people who make me smile, I get to make a big list because I have received this award from four very special people in the past week. 10 people per award means 40 people are going to be receiving an award from me. Now that is going to be a big list. I am honored to have received the award and will be honored to pass it along.

Meanwhile, I hope you are kicking back this weekend, having some breakfast in bed or carving a pumpkin or some other weekend fun!

Breakfast in bed photo is from Traditional Home online.

Sweet Escape: Swings

Remember when you were a kid and didn’t have hardly a care in the world (well, relatively speaking)? And you’d head out to the backyard to swing the afternoon away? Bliss.

I almost made this my sweet escape for Friday, but sometimes you just need to escape on a Thursday and you can’t wait for Friday! Find these fanciful swings at Fletcher and Myburgh.

And how about a pumpkin swing for fall? I think that would be splendid!

Sweet Escape: Swings

I discovered these magical swings via my new friend Pam from the fabulous floral design and upcoming lifestyle store Ink and Peat (blog Housemartin!). You’ll want to check out her stuff as well, simply gorgeous!
