It is time once again for us to join together in solidarity as procrastinators. Don’t be ashamed to admit it — you are not the only one with 20 projects you are wanting to get to but never do. You know the holidays are RIGHT around the corner and if we don’t buckle down and get some of these household projects done they just won’t happen until the new year. I for one want my project DONE before the holidays. And this is the only way it is going to happen.
I wish someone would come do it for me but so far, no volunteers.
You know I don’t like to paint furniture (especially the prep part) so I NEED YOU all to be out there tackling your own dreaded projects so I don’t feel so alone. You know, for moral support! I LOVE YOU GUYS!
And that is the beauty of our Procrastinator’s Party. We are all in the same boat for two weeks and in the end, we can celebrate and enjoy all the AFTER photos!
Here is the before photo of my project…

I’m finally going to tackle this dresser with the hutch. I love the wire doors on it and can’t wait to see it all prettied up. Now, as a disclaimer, I have nothing against natural wood. In fact, we ADORE natural wood at our home. But only if the wood is right for our home. This is oak and it just doesn’t work for me right now. There is a certain wood-to-painted furniture ratio I am after in this house and I want another painted piece.
I’ll tell you all about my plans for this piece in another post, but for now I’m ready to see what you all are going to tackle!
So how do you join the Procrastinator Party?
It is easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Link up a post declaring your project — be sure to show your before photo to the world. Announcing it is part of the deal here ladies. If you don’t put it in black and white we can’t hold you accountable. And if we don’t hold procrastinators accountable, well, we all know what happens. So be bold and post your proclamations on your blog and then link up here — and/or if you don’t have a blog, share in the comments below! EVERYONE is welcome!
2. Then obviously you need to work on your project. Eh hem. Don’t skip this part like SOME OF YOU did (names withheld to protect the guilty) last time. Just sayin’.
3. Then return to The Inspired Room in two weeks (October 20th) to link up your AFTER PHOTOS! We’ll all visit you and praise you for your hard work. And you’ll have the satisfaction of a completed project!
