A Memorable Tradition & Party Idea

What is not to love about a cupcake?

You might remember, if you have been with me for awhile, that my daughters and I baked the cupcakes for my oldest daughter’s wedding. Yes, go ahead and chuckle, it was kind of a crazy idea given that we are not very skilled with baking and it wasn’t exactly the simplest idea the day before a wedding. They weren’t the most beautiful cupcakes ever, but they were one of the most memorable parts of the wedding for us. You can find the behind the scenes story of them on this cupcake post.

Continuing my cupcake crush, I have now fallen head over heels in love with these little beauties: cupcake stands. Perfectly lovely miniature cake stands. Mine happens to be pink, but white would be oh so classy too! Oh how I love these and wish we had had them for the wedding! The minute I held it in my hand,  I immediately thought of all the ways I could use it. Let me count the ways! I love versatile pieces that can be used for many purposes and can be meaningful too.

Can you believe it?
It is even cute from the bottom!
Look at those little hobnail-ish dots on the pink stand?
LOVE.

So, remember those “You are Special Today” plates from back in the day?

Fast forward to 2010.

I’ve decided cupcakes on stands are my new way of showing my family that they are special.

They are my new tradition.

A simple cupcake + the cutest little stand ever = you are special

PS. I used to carry these in my online shop which is now closed! Hopefully you can find them if you search online!
