What an incredible setting!!! Both my parents are from Great Britain, my mother born in Dun Dee, Scotland. As a result, I have come to the conclusion this morning that this is my ancestral home. I will be putting my home here on the market and heading over as soon as I pack up my pajamas. You are cordially invited to visit. Love, Esther

Hi Melissa ~ thanks for stopping by my blog! I wish I could take credit for finding that great quiz, but I stole it from my friend Jeanetta at http://splendid-things.blogspot.com/.

What great photos you have ~ they’re right up my ally! One day I do hope to make it to Europe; my husband was lucky enough to live in Germany for a time as a child, and he got to travel all over. I am sure he’d have much more fun with me, though ;)

What kind of books does your family publish? I wonder if I’ve seen any of them. Alaska is truly the most amazingly beautiful place to live, if you can stand the rain & the long, dark winters! I was born & raised in Juneau, and I don’t imagine my husband (an “import”) & I will live anywhere else. I’ve been on vacation for almost 2 weeks now, and I’m ready to go home!

Oh, heavenly! Just what the doctor ordered for a getaway. I always wonder who gets to live in these homes and why wasn’t I picked. :)

Such a beautiful place! And thanks about the table. I need to go through my entire house and get rid of stuff. I do this at least twice a year. It’s great to re-do, refresh and recycle. :-)

Now that is what I am talking about for a dream get-away! My oldest son had been to Scotland and loved it so much! He told me, “Mom, you’d want to live there!” I am sure he is absolutely right!

    xo,
