PS. So sorry this was late, I messed up and posted the wrong post earlier. {shakes head at self}
What a sweet thing to be “hooked” on! Time with my girls is the most precious thing. Having a teenager, I know this first hand, so I enjoy every single moment with them that I can.

What a beautiful boy – I can feel your swelling heart with joy and pride right across the ocean that divides us!
So, so many precious moments this week… Holidaying at home has made everything feel precious and special.
I had coffee on the back kitchen doorstep today with my husband, who’s relaxing and blossoming more and more in the sun every day as his daily work routine recedes. He smelled of warm skin and suntan lotion that brought back memories of balmy sea breezes and holidays past.
The back garden smells of jasmine, honeysuckle and damp soil. Yesterday, my son helped my husband dig up a patch of weeds that has been depressing us for weeks. They worked side by side, laughing, joking, swigging water from bottles and leaning on the handles of their spades proudly, watching the wheelbarrow fill up with stones and weeds, and a growing space of damp, rich earth appear.
My daughter and I sat reading, occasionally closing our eyes and lifting our faces to the sun. I read a ‘holiday’ novel, lazily reaching down every so often to pick and eat a strawberry straight form the pot by the back door.
Thank you for encouraging me to recapture and re-live a few of this week’s moments here. I plan to do it in my own update later, but if I drift out into the garden soon, I may never make it back to the computer!
