Simple & Brilliant Message BoardBistro Union found via We Heart

spotted this simple idea for a family message board on Pinterest today (it’s from a cool looking London Bistro!) and I love it. Sometimes I think we make things more complicated than they need to be — this is so simple it is brilliant. It’s a no-nonsense and practical idea I could see using in a home. An easy command center. I like that it adds to the character of the decor, but it is functional too. And no big tools or DIY skills necessary…just the way I like it!

That really is clever. It must be a menu, not a shopping list. Mine would be “milk, bread, eggs, toilet paper…”

This one caught my eye too! I can see many handy residential applications.

What a fun idea!! I can see writing down the key things the fam needs to know for the day as they walk out the door or by the breaky table. Good eye, Melissa!

What a clever idea! Very practical and probably inexpensive to copy.
    Love it!
I happen to like the color of their paper too– brown. Easy on the eyes.

What a great idea! I could see this in the kitchen for sure or in my craft room. This would be a super blank canvas for an inspiration board. Thanks for sharing, pinned and shared.

Mmmmm….I have to find a roll of paper that is smaller someplace to do my “lists”. I love this idea. Seen this before but this example is particularly well done and appealing. I have a blackboard door on my pantry, which I used to make my grocery lists. I think it’s pretty cool, but this is even better.

Love this! I have been looking for an alternative to the fridge or bulletin board as a family message center/memo board. This has that funky style I want!

OK silly question, does anyone know where you could find this paper?

Newspapers sell off end rolls that are too short for further printing.

Lowe’s also has big rolls of this paper for fairly inexpensively! My question is where do you find the wall mount holder? Any thoughts? Love this!

I literally gasped when I saw this! I know exactly where this will be going in my house! Now to break out the tools and make the wall mounted holder or maybe I’ll just use the brackets we have on hand already. Truly lovely!

I’ve been looking for a way to do this for a long time and have yet to find a holder as nice as that one. It’s probably custom made?
