I love a simple and informal but charming table. Last year we found these sweet little woodland creatures for our Christmas tree at Michaels Craft. This year we thought they would be adorable on a dinner table. Aren’t they precious? I’ve missed them!
We were recently given a lovely Thanksgiving dinner from Harry & David so we turned it into an opportunity for a rustic tablescape with the woodlands. Yes, there is a random whale just hanging out on the table too. He is not a woodland, he’s just hanging out on the table. Heheh.
I wrote a post about the delicious Thanksgiving meal from Harry & David, please go check it out on the Harry & David blog! Do you all know about Harry & David? We’ve been the lucky recipients of their pears and gift boxes for years and last year we started sending holiday gifts from them ourselves! I recently went out to visit their orchards and facilities in Medford, Oregon. It was such a fun, beautiful and DELICIOUS trip, I’ll share more about it soon!
PS. If you love woodlands as much as I do, we made downloadable Woodland Gift Tags last year which you could use as a place card, too if you didn’t have any little woodland creatures around!
Those place card holders are so cute – my kids would probably play with them, which is a good thing. Happy kids = happy meals. :)
I absolutely love the woodland creatures! Lynn’s right, the grandkids would love to play with them!
what is the pattern or maker of your butter dish? It is very pretty.
Oh those forest friends are so cute! I have one or two similar but would love to find a set!
Your table is delightful!
Cheers!
My website is in process so don’t peak. I am in the process of writing my first blog and would love advice on how to do this, any websites with good instructional information? Also, where did you get those square white dishes? I love white dishes (as I know you do too) because they are so versatile, budget friendly though:)
Thanks Kim!
Those little critters are too cute!!! I bet everyone loves them don’t they?
I love this arrangement! It’s a very ‘slow food movement’ look.
Live the creatures and the entire table layout!! Beautiful
I meant Love!!
is that a kale dish in the bowl???? if so, please share!
Love your woodland critters, and the whale too! Your table looks great.
K.
Your table looks gorgeous! And I love the little critters too! So cute!
Great ideas here! I love the timeless appeal of pinecones, and there are so many options for decorating with them. I recently tried gold leafing pine cones (http://blog.christmastreemarket.com/2013/11/diy-christmas-decorations/pine-cone-bowl/). They are beautiful, but it took a bit longer than I expected. Metallic spray paint would definitely be a quicker route. Do you have a favorite gold metallic spray/brand?
The one room (of many) that could use some improving on is our family room. It lacks lighting and I have some great ideas! Love your son’s start to a new room.
I would redo my small garage conversion to a family room. It is a 9×13 ft room and I am finding it a huge challenge to decorate. I sit in it everyday and plan thing in my head but can’t seem to put it into fruition. Thanks you. Eileen
