Gather: Bench Seating

Gather: Bench SeatingCountry Living

Testing, testing, hello? Hello! It’s Courtney here today! Wow, It’s been forever since I’ve done my own post on The Inspired Room. Summer, actually. I have been here behind the scenes, however :) For those who don’t know, I’ve been working full time with my mom for The Inspired Room about a year and a half now! It’s been a complete dream job for me and I’m so happy to be a part. I’ve done occasional “Gather” guest posts for years on The Inspired Room (which I love!), I have a blast scouring the internet to create round ups of furniture, accessories, gift ideas, etc. This year I hope to post more regularly here!

For today, I’ve rounded up some inspiration for bench seating. There’s something I’ve always really liked about simple benches in a home. I love having one in the entry as a little perch to put on shoes, and I’m also a big fan of the casual look of a bench tucked into one side of a dining table. Enjoy some inspiration below as well as a round up of great benches at the end!

  1. Thanks for the inspiration…nothing better then to find a vintage bench and have a place to put it.
    Happy Day

  2. Love these benches! I would love to have a space in my entry to put one. Maybe someday!

  3. Beautiful inspo!!

    Kisses from

  4. We need to put a bench in our foyer. I want something to store ALL OF OUR SHOES! Beautiful photos!

  5. Beautiful job, Courtney! I luv, luv benches too, no clutter, just function and beauty! Looking forward to more from you!

  6. Awesome collection of benches, Courtney! I truly wish I had room for a bench in my entry but unfortunately not….yet! Perhaps down the road when I create my dream breezeway….sigh!

  7. That first bench is my favorite. The third one isn’t that bad either, I love the rustic look.

Great inspiration for an entryway, we need to do something, the kids are always sitting on the ground and leaving their shoes in the middle of the floor. A bench to put them under would definitely help.
