In celebration of the first day of summer and our first summer in our new home (yay, I love summer in the NW!) we gave our little living room a refresh. We added these adorable new pillows and a beautiful new rug from the new Rifle Paper Co x Loloi collection. I am IN LOVE!
The rug is a wonderful neutral. It has a really pretty tonal pattern that is so simple and understated that it doesn’t compete with anything else. It grounds the furniture and uplifts the mood of the room and is real beauty on its own!
The pillows have the most cheerful colors and botanical patterns which add a fun pop of cheer to our room. In fact, just seeing how happy the mood feels now with the “hydrangea blue” around the room now is inspiring me to make this color a part of our palette all season long. I’m still loving the hydrangeas in our door basket, so I think it’s a look that is meant to be!
It’s fun to experiment with different looks in every season to see what feels right, whether you have a new home like we do or you’ve been in your home for a long time!
