Welcome to Fall Nesting Week

Fall nesting is seriously underway at my house. I didn’t think I was necessarily in the “nesting mood” quite yet, but things were getting a little out of hand around my house after the wedding and busy summer. Once I got myself going, I really felt inspired to settle back into my fall routine.

Sometime Tuesday we will kick off the Fall Nesting Week festivities, but I wanted to get our favorite Mr. Linky up and ready for those of you who are ready to go! You can link up any post from your blog this week to show us how you are getting ready for fall, nesting, or general cleaning & organizing for the upcoming season. And you Aussies can play along too, nesting is not limited to Fall! Or, show us last Fall’s activities if you’d like!

My fall nesting projects have an additional “challenge”: I can’t buy anything new…
It ‘s the time for me to go “shopping” inside my closets and outside the house – gifts from nature, the garden, treats that have been hiding forgotten in boxes and closets. Or sometimes in plain view…

This weekend I’m doing my Fall nesting be hauling everything out of my closets, drawers, linen closets and pantry. Simplifying helps me see what I have and makes my life just a little easier. You can’t wear/use what you can’t see!

I’m going to do some fall nesting today. I will have photos and posts up by this evening, as I have just gotten new computer, camera, and scanner and I’m still trying to figure everything out. Fall is my favorite time of year, and all my decorations are from walmart, or garage sales.

Fall in Las Vegas does not offer much seasonal inspiration so you have to really search within to find it. I like to take out my favorite old cookbooks and holiday decor books and look for new inspiration.
