You know how much I enjoy a creative concealment! This elegant cover-up from Southern Living cleverly hides whatever stuff you want to stash! Perfect for rooms where you need some extra storage, but don’t have the “right” piece of furniture. Creative concealment to the rescue, once again!

That is so FUNctional! I love the elegance it lends to the room. You could take a particularly non-aesthetically pleasing piece of furniture and turn it into a decorating focal point! Great idea!

Awesome idea! You could use any buffet or hutch with space underneath.
This could work even if you have zero carpentry skills, couldn’t it? I mean, go the old dorm-room route with bricks and boards. I can sew…I can make the “skirt”…but I couldn’t drive a nail or cut a board to save my soul. Bricks and boards on the other hand…I can shape them to my will. Oh, my goodness, I’m inspired.
AMAZING idea. I love love love this, and I may have a sewing table like this very very soon

I love this idea! I use a similar storage technique in my office, but I like the look of this much better. I’ll have to rethink things… hmmm…
That is very clever! I always think I need some fabulous new piece of furniture, but I could just have my hubby build something and cover it up. Nice idea!

Love that idea, and it is so pretty, too! I love hiding all of my stuff, here there and everywhere! I don’t have a lot of storage in this house, it’s really strange, it’s twice the size of our last home, but that house had more storage, go figure ;)

Pretty, but would never go in my home! It would soon become the new “cat cave” & I would need to invest in new crystal after the big fuzzy kitties made room for themselves by toppling it off the shelves!

Melissa, I just took the tour of your beach house! What a beautiful spot and I can imagine it was gorgeous by the time of the wedding. That is about the time I started reading your blog. I love these photos in this post too. Wat a great idea to paint a pumpkin with stencil. Love that idea and the lacy look it produced. Your posts are so inspirational. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for this!! I have an old metal filing cabinet that I need to move into the living area…this is the perfect cover for me to create! Woohoo!
