A Beautiful Life: The U-Haul Edition

Just a quick post from me today…we arrived back home in Washington with our 26ft U-Haul, unloaded it and now our 10ft trailer has arrived. Our new house now looks like a furniture store. And that means I can start ‘shopping the house’! Oh happy day!

It will be fun to be able to try out the same old things in new ways and in new rooms. That is a beautiful thing — using what you have in new ways!

Thanks to everyone who left such sweet comments in the last week — welcoming me to Washington, encouraging me in the move and just sweet comments in general…I appreciate each one. Thank you.

Here are some links to check out while I am unpacking:

A Beautiful Life: The U-Haul Edition

Now, it is time for Beautiful Life Friday! Every week I give The Inspired Room readers a chance to link up posts that celebrate a beautiful life! Whether it is something beautiful you created, something beautiful you saw or something beautiful in life that you enjoyed this week, you can share it here!

Participating in A Beautiful Life Friday each week is a great way to pause and appreciate the beauty right in front of us. Plus, it gives us a chance to visit your blog, get to know you and be inspired by YOU!

All you have to do is link DIRECTLY to a beautiful life post and link back here to The Inspired Room from your post. If you come back and your link is deleted, check to make sure you are linking directly to a Beautiful Life post and not to your home page! I make each Beautiful Life link on Mr. Linky a permanent part of the post the following week!

UPDATE: The posts from this week are now permanently a part of this post! Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Happy Weekend!

Congratulations on your move. We’ve moved twice in 1.5 years. Ugh! Thank goodness this last time our work contract included moving company expenses.

That is one of my favorite things to do when I move…find new ways to make the old things different! I recently changed the pictures in my living room and found it was exciting as well. Welcome to the pacific northwest! Warm lovely weather will surely be here soon making the entire region more beautiful.

Blessings to you in your new home. Moving is more than a notion! I’ve done it 18 times in my 45 years. Each time we moved was a new adventure, but we always gather a group of friends and family to pray with us in our new home. Asking God to bless each room, the conversations and memories made there. He has never disappointed.

Sounds like you’re nearing the finish line and can really start settling in soon. Moving can be so overwhelming. I think it took me a year to recover from my last move (ha). I always swear I’ll never do it again–but it’s like childbirth, and I forget how tough it was as soon as I see a cute house for sale. :-)

    Thanks for hosting!

Good luck with the move and unpacking. It is fun to try out old favorites in new positions. Am still fiddiling post move here, sorting storage solutions, candelabra in the garden and little lost souls huddled on shelves wondering where they will end up.
