Martha's Amazing Set Kitchen<br> & New Line of Paint

This is Martha’s kitchen on her set. I love everything about it.

What do I love about this kitchen? I’m so glad you asked.

  • I always love a working kitchen, one that you believe someone actually cooks in.
  • I love the open display shelves with the white bowls and cake plates for usable decor.
  • I love the open cookbook shelves, makes the room look lived in.
  • I love the rolling pins on the beadboard. Again, functional art.

Beyond that, of course, it has beautiful cabinetry, paint, knobs, marble counters, glorious refrigerator, and beautiful floors.

Lots of lovely ideas in this kitchen!

Did you hear Martha has a new line of paint at Home Depot? I am definitely going to check out those swatches. I have paint swatches everywhere at my house and none of them are right. Sigh.

Agree Melissa, this is a great kitchen. Everything is accessible and the colour is great. Did you notice it compliments the colour in your header?

Me again Melissa, on another note, I seem to recall you once writing a post on blog etiquette. Does this sound familiar? If so, could you let me know where on your blog it might be? I looked at the archives and could not locate it.
    Many thanks ;)

I love that kitchen too for all the things you said and more. What I would REALLY love is that refrigerator with the glass door..sigh. Thanks for the info on the paint line at Home Depot. I will definitely check that out. I cried when kmart no longer carried the MS line. My all time go-to color was Twine from her long ago line there.

My favorite thing is the cookbooks. I have so many cookbooks and some of them are in a cabinet since I don’t have enough room for them. This would be a great idea.

I would love open display shelves! And who knew there were so many different rolling pin sizes in the world?

That kitchen is amazing…it makes we wonder, once again, why Blueprint didn’t do well. It was the perfect blended DIY and decor mag. She has such talent on her team.

It is a wonderful kitchen…my favorite part is the rolling pin wall decor. She is so good at making everyday work tools look beautiful! I am working on this…such a great idea!

I hadn’t heard about her new paint line…I am sure the colors are gorgeous! What colors are you looking at for your walls? It is a tough decision…just remember, if you decide you don’t like what you pick after it is up, you can always paint over it. LOL And at least it won’t be swine pink!! Good luck and have fun!

    Melissa,
    Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
I love that beautiful refrigerator. I heard HD was bringing in Martha’s paints and dropping the Ralph Lauren metallics. The metallic’s will still be available at other places just not a HD.

Oh Melissa, I thought I was the only one obsessing about this paint color :) I have tons of paint swatches myself, not one of them is quite right. I will definitely have to check HD out. I just love everything about this kitchen, too.

Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

I’ve seen her paint line, and I am currently obsessed with her color called Conch Shell. The chips are cool because the back of the chip comes with a coordinating ceiling paint and a coordinating trim paint suggestions.

I shudder at the thought of a glass-door fridge – only Martha is tidy enough for that! Love the crisp cabinetry and the rolling pins.

My daughter and her husband just bought their first house together. When we were there visiting last week she pulled out every single paint chip from Martha’s new line. They are very beautiful! If someone can’t find the perfect color, something’s wrong!

I just wrote a funny blog post about Martha’s new paint line at The Home Depot. I don’t think you will have any trouble finding the right color – you have 280 to choose from and they all have delicious names.

Hmm. Obviously I’m in the minority here, but that kitchen doesn’t do much for me. I guess I’m not really a gray/white/stainless steel lover, but the open cabinets (sans white dishes) are something I’d like to try! Oh and I would go for a collection of rolling pins!

Thanks for the reminder, Melissa. I need to haul myself over to HD and pick up Martha’s paint chips. I hear there isn’t a “deck” or full collection of colors on cards, so I guess I’ll have to stand there like a nut and pull one of every color. I’ve used Martha’s paints from other sources and while I do love her colors, I haven’t always loved the quality. HD’s own Behr line is very good, so I’m hoping their Martha line will be too.
And I don’t even want to talk about Martha’s kitchen. Makes me want to burn mine down and start over. : )

There is a card that shows all the colors! I got it yesterday and am already trying one of the colors on my wall. I think I like it so far!! A put it in a new post for today.

Tomorrow is my “errands” day, and picking up the card is now at the top of my list. May as well start with something fun! Your new color is dreamy. I picked something very similar for my hallway. Though I have to say I didn’t mind the “swine” (soft pink?) Thanks!

Oh, Martha always has such great (egg-inspired) colors! Can’t wait to see the new ones. I’m not as in love with the kitchen as you, though. It’s lovely, but not functional-enough looking. Who is using three mortar and pestles and five rolling pins and three cake stands? I know they’re artsy, but I prefer even more beautiful function over form. Thanks for sharing though. I visit your site regularly for inspiration!

I painted several rooms in my old house in Martha’s colors back when she had her paint line at KMart/Sears. I LOVED them and so did everyone who came to my house. I’m sure the Home Depot line is beautiful too. I can’t wait to check them out.
