Prayer chains from church were wrapped around a tiny tree.
We remembered the needs of others and gave thanks for all the blessings we can take for granted.
Not really sure why this is laying under the tree, or what it is. Moving on.
We remembered to sing Christmas carols all the day long. (update: you can find the chalkboard idea here).
We drank lots of coffee, hot chocolate and marshmallows.
We treasured cards and gifts from friends we hold dear!
We played with furry friends (yes, Winston got his Christmas haircut).
We enjoyed traditions and laughed at silly jokes.
We remembered the Reason.
We repeated our motto when worry crept in to steal the joy.
We read the Christmas story out loud and joined the weary world in rejoicing.
(update: this ornament came from DaySpring)
Christmas at our house was really wonderful. I chose peace and it made such a difference!
We traded in laptops for heart to heart conversations, stress for fun and busyness for rest. We watched our favorite holiday movies, ate way too much goodness and snoozed by the fire often!
Today I’m saying good-bye to the last of our family guests and getting my daughter ready for surgery on Monday (tonsils!). But I wanted you to know how much my blogging friends are thought of and loved!! Thank you for stopping by and always making this blog merry & bright!
Meanwhile, praying for Edie who lost her beautiful home in a fire over the holidays. A tragedy, yet her entire family escaped unharmed — and that is a gift beyond measure.
