  12. Soft aqua and green–tranquil colors, for all year long. I have these hues in our bedroom, mixed with soft gray, and a pop of raspberry. Thank you for such beautiful images on a Monday morning.

  20. Hi Melissa! I just stumbled onto your blog while doing an internet search for an upcoming kitchen remodel. An hour later I am still perusing your delightful posts! We very recently moved to Portland due to my husbands job transfer and will close on an old farmhouse in three weeks. I’d be grateful for recommendations for a contractor as well as stores we should be aware of in the area! I tried to e-mail you but for some reason the link wouldn’t work for me. Feel free to e-mail me if you have a minute to respond. Thank you!

  24. I have had 2 deep red couches over my 39 years of marriage. I have one now,in fact. And 2 ofmy upholstered chairs are in rust and another in deep sage green. My very lightly tinted ,walls are light and airy with a picture window draped with ivory sheers and side panels with all the colours of my furniture in a pattern of red poppies, sage green vines,,yellows and rust. I need to get a new area rug, Not sure what neutral color would anchor this large living room. Any ideas ladies? I have little grandchildren, just so you know.
