Enjoyed your post. I find myself often sitting in my kitchen being thankful for the heat pouring out of the register and the warm coffee in my cup! So much to be thankful for.

Love the picture of Jack. My daughter has a goldendoodle, Ella! She is 4 months old. We had thought it would be a good doggy rule…”no doggy on the couch” but Ella just wants to be on the couch and looks so darn cute while there. We are struggling if we should throw this rule out???!? Have a happy at home day!

It’s like, maybe the secret to life, isn’t it? Keeping oneself grounded in gratitude – irrelevant of the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots.’
    Great post!

What a lovely reminder on how to slow down and be grateful for the blessings in our life. Including the furballs that love to cuddle up on our furniture!

I am tearing up just now; what a wonderful message again. You are right about the do-not-grumble part. It takes a graceful effort to shake it of and just thank our God for everything that unsettles sometimes. Including messy children and a house full of sand because of the new houses built in the area… You know what, I am so grateful that I laid my hands on a copy of Love The Home You Have in a local bookstore in Leiden. Did not know it was possible – just tried to order it and I could! Haven’t read it yet, as it is a gift for Sinterklaas (Dutch traditions of receiving gifts on the 5th of December , mainly for children and families), but I am very much looking forward to it. Bless you for the blessing you are with your gift of styling and encouragement. I wish for ongoing peace for you during this big transition in making your new house again a home you all (will) love. liefs, Wícorel
