Best Decorating Tips to Drastically Transform Your Home

Hey friends! I’m pretty much just chilling with my family this week, but I’m getting excited for 2017 because I have so many fun house and home projects and ideas to share with you. :) Hopefully you had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying your last week of 2016, too.

I love to share about all things home every chance I get. You may not be aware of this, but for several years I’ve been a writer at a number of sites around the web, including eBay. eBay isn’t just a place to buy stuff, you can actually read free informative articles, too. I always share links to my articles over on Facebook so my followers there can read them, but I don’t often share them here. A reader pointed out that she enjoys the eBay posts so much that I really should post links to the eBay articles on the blog more often, too. Good point!

So today I’ve pulled together some of my most-popular home-related posts and the best decorating tips I’ve shared on eBay. I hope these ideas will inspire and encourage you as you look forward to all the possibilities in 2017!

Hi Melissa! I hope you had a very nice Christmas! I want to THANK YOU for another year of Home & Real Life Inspirations! I always look forward to each new post. Since I found your blog a few years ago, I have been so inspired to transform my home in the way that I have grown to Love it! I admire all the hard work that you put into your blogging. I would love to have my own blogging site, but I run my own small advertising business from home and it doesn’t allow me much free time to have my own blog. So instead, when I do have some free time, I post my own home decorating ideas over at your “Home Love Stories” neighborhood blogging website. I THANK YOU for that opportunity as well! I do feeI that the “Neighborhood” blogging is fading away and I hope that some how, you can find a way to promote “Home Love Stories” in such a way, to get more “Homemakers” like me to stay in the loop and interact more. I find that most woman post one thing, do not reply to any comments from us about what they post and don’t go to other posts and comment. Then, you never see or hear from them again. I hope there is a way to change that, because I would love more woman like me to find this whole new world of not just posting your decorating ideas, but to interact and have real conversations with woman from all over the world. For instance, I have made some new online friends from “Home Love Stories” such as Nancy from Nova Scotia, Jennifer from Germany & Hanh from Florida. I look forward to hearing from them, not only about my decorating posts, but about things that are going on in their lives. It’s so interesting! Please find a way, or if I can help in any way, to keep “Home Love Stories” alive and make it feel more like a neighborhood again.
I also like the idea of you mentioning your Decorating Tips that are over on eBay and I think it would be great to post these tips on this website as well. Thank you again for all you do to inspire me and many other like me. Hugs!! :)

I toured your website and realized you like bluish toned colors….me too. Different tones of blue when used with other colors, certainly add to a calm setting. I like your blog posts Melissa and you have definitely inspired me to consider writing some of my own.
