Love this (real) board and batten from the Newly Woodwards
completed for a Procrastinator Project!
I think her husband deserves “Husband of the Year”
from The Inspired Room.
I just finished going through every single AFTER photo on the Procrastinator Party. Wow, that was fun! I hope I didn’t miss anyone. I really had a great time seeing what you all did and accomplished while I was busily painting my own cabinet! Felt like we were all neighbors checking in on each other, didn’t it? Love that about blog land!
One sweet lady even started a blog (called Welcome Home) as her procrastinator project! I love it! And because I don’t want to hoard all the best blog commenters in the world to myself, maybe you could take a moment to buzz over here to congratulate her on ending her procrastination and starting a blog…go ahead, I’ll wait….click here to visit her…

Oh, how I adore this idea for a pillow from Bay Buttons…

If you think you can’t get much done in a week, check out this before and after from Leaving Footprints, taken just one week apart!

From unfinished to finished room! Great job!
You ALL did a great job Procrastinators! Next party…January!
Ok, now…for the big SURPRISE!
I’ve had to keep a little secret from you. Due to the public nature of blogs, I was unable to tell you all that just about 30 days ago we got THREE offers on our house in PORTLAND!!!!! Not one. Not two. THREE! Yes. After that ridiculously long summer of silence, I am happy to report that as of YESTERDAY, my house is SOLD. Gone.

Now, we didn’t make as much money as we should have with this sale BUT, we didn’t lose our shirts either so we have to be grateful for what we have. I’m just happy to have it sold before the holidays! Even after all the effort to get it sold, it felt a little bittersweet knowing my house (and kitchen, whahah) has gone to someone else, but I’m excited about our new life here in Washington so it will be OK.
And as of Monday, if all goes according to plan, we will own the house we live in and we can call this chapter of life DONE. You know I”ll be breaking out the paint can as soon as the deed is recorded. Yes I will.
Thanks for all of your prayers, support, comments and encouragement these long months. Truly, I feel like I could use about a month vacation in Hawaii to recover from this year. It was filled with unknowns and stress and hard work! But I am happy to be on the other side and ready to move forward!
So, get ready for many more projects and before and afters around The Inspired Room! All on a budget of, well, zero. Yes, that should be interesting. Let’s see what I can come up with. I’ll be scouring blogland for inspiration, that is FOR SURE!
