Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a couple weeks away? I know it’s a hard time for many people right now, and it’s especially a sad season for those who won’t be able to be with their families for the holidays.
I think all of the challenges and worries of 2020 have prompted many people to start decorating Christmas already. Are you decorating soon? We usually put our tree up a little early anyway so we can enjoy sitting by the twinkling lights during Thanksgiving dinner. This year we’ll probably do the same. While we haven’t started decorating yet, I think we can all use a little more sparkle in our lives right now!
If you are hosting even a small group of friends or family for Thanksgiving dinner, have you thought about how you will decorate your table? I think it’s fun (and a good distraction) to plan out the table decor, whether it’s for a crowd or a few or even just for YOU!
The sources for the items in the inspiration collage above are at the bottom of this post. I love the combination of colors and textures! What colors and textures will be on your table this year?
You’ll find many ideas for hosting memorable gatherings in my hospitality book called Simple Gatherings: 50 Ways to Inspire Connection. I love to create a welcoming space that makes guests and family feel welcomed and cared for!
In spite of the challenges we’ve faced this year and will likely continue to deal with in the weeks to come, it’s important to remind ourselves that we still have so much to be grateful for. Counting our blessings definitely helps shape my perspective.
Come back tomorrow for lots more beautiful and simple Thanksgiving table decorating ideas!
