You don’t really need to decorate your home for fall to make it feel like fall. Sometimes it’s less about adding seasonal decor and more about creating a cozy feeling through the little details and everyday rituals of the season.

Here are a few simple ways I’ve been creating the feeling of fall in our home:
Put a delightful tea kettle on the stove and bring out a pretty mug for slow fall mornings.
Make the bed extra cozy with a charming bed skirt, pillows, and the warm glow of a picture light.
Create a warm welcome home with an entry table and lamp.
Hang a door basket you can fill with foraged seasonal foliage.
Add lamps to warm up kitchen corners as the days get shorter.
Create an inviting book nook with cozy pillows and a comfortable place to curl up.

None of these have to be traditional “fall decor.”
They’re simply little ways to make home feel warmer, cozier, and ready to savor the season!

If you’re wanting to bring that cozy feeling home, I’m sharing more photos from around our home lately below, along with some of my fall favorites from Wayfair. There are lots of pretty pieces that can warm up your space for the season in a simple way.
