Fall Gather (What's Your Home's Fall Look?)

Fall Gather (What's Your Home's Fall Look?)

Happy First Weekend of Fall!

We put together a design board of elements (and a shop for you to browse) for a fall look that we imagined would feel fresh, warm, gathered and textured.

Because I love design, I’m a big fan of playing up the mood of a season in your own unique way.

I think it’s fun to dream up fresh combinations of items to inspire your own fall space. Why not create your very own signature look?

Here’s a fun way to design virtual spaces or even make them a reality:

Make a list of a few short but “descriptive” words to give yourself a head start on your desired look.

Then pull together a mix of elements to make your vision come to life!

We create our design boards in Photoshop, but if you don’t have a Photoshop or Photoshop Elements program, you can use a Pinterest board to pin your favorite items, Polyvore, or even use a real life bulletin board.

What would your ideal fall space look and feel like?

Great tips for make beauty the room. Thank for sharing. Indeed, a small thing can make huge changes in the rooms.

Great idea to create a mood board. So much fun thinking about how you want a room to feel in a particular season. Thinking of descriptive words and then brainstorming on the possibilities is brilliant. Then you’re ‘shopping your home’ of things already acquired or possibly purchasing additional items to create that ” feeling”. As you mentioned before…it’s easy to get caught up in shopping and the visual of all the pretty things but so much better to have a PLAN based on how you want to FEEL in the room, not just filling it up with pretty things. Great advice! Thank you AGAIN for all the inspiration during this FALL NESTING series!

I kept it pretty simple this year, compared to years past. One of the most important things for fall in my house is scent – I just adore the scents of fall candles and soaps!
