One thing I’ve noticed since sharing these Home Style Saturdays posts is how quickly the weeks fly by. So fast that when I was out of town I completely forgot to schedule the Home Style Saturday post! Somehow the weekend snuck right past me! (I finally got last week’s HSS post all set up now though so you can catch up on that one here.).
Even though time seems to fly by so fast, more than ever I’m trying to do what I can to live each week at a slower pace. If you read my new book Dwelling you know how important I feel it is to take care of your whole self, mind, body and soul, as well as your environment! You can’t take care of YOURSELF properly if you are always rushing around taking care of everything else first.
After living in so many seasons of feeling anxious, stressed or run down (I have Hashimoto’s and dealt with symptoms of hypothyroidism for about 30 years) I’m very aware of the need to be mindful of how I feel. Slowing down helps me to make whatever adjustments need to be made so I can continue to feel my best.
Taking care of yourself can make a world of difference!
