To kick off the summer season which is quickly approaching, we are giving our front door and porch a little refresh! I think it’s a great time of year to work on some “curb appeal” so we will be all set for fall decorating and the holidays.
You may have seen our new door color on my Instagram stories, but here is a progress shot for you! We are not quite done painting the door and haven’t done the trim yet. In fact, there are still plenty of things we want to do to update our porch.
The color we used on the door is called “Blue Suede Shoes” by Benjamin Moore, and our brick house is painted “Reserved White” by Sherwin Williams. I kept this progress photo mostly unedited so you can see its true color, but it does change throughout the day! It’s the happiest color close up and a little more subdued but still so pretty from the street–it’s a fun one! You can find more of our home paint colors here.
While our porch is certainly not perfect yet, I believe in sharing the little improvements, not just celebrating the exciting final reveals. I’ll have a more official “before and after” post on this door in the upcoming weeks, but today is about making and enjoying progress!
Do you ever feel like you can’t start a project until you can do it all? If I let those feelings of “all or nothing” limit me, we’d never make progress on anything. Paint is just one step towards more curb appeal, but we absolutely LOVE the color and mood it has already set for the front of our home. It’s inspiring me to get excited about so many more ideas for our home I’ll share with you as we inch our way along!
Now that we have such a pretty new door color, of course I’m looking for a fun new summer doormat and other accessories to pull together our front porch. I’ll have a post soon with more porch ideas and accessories I love, but below are some pretty summer doormats I found!
